Amazing, laid back trip along the nile with a great company - We had a fantastic 2 night trip from Aswan. I found the company through a blog post and then communicated by email with Waleed who was really helpful and also organised our pick up from Aswan airport and a tour round Aswan including a kayak trip and a tour to Abu Symbel. Nothing was too much trouble and he called me everyday to make sure we were happy. The felucca and crew lead by Captain Medoo was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They got us beer and cola for the journey and prepared delicious food for us - some of the best we have eaten and there was loads of it. At night there were pop up mosquito nets and blankets. It was all very comfy. We swam in the Nile and enjoyed watching the wildlife. I would 100% recommend this as a highlight for a trip in Egypt. Also the toilet was super clean which is very important

Unique Experience! - Slow rhythms, kind people and fantastic sunsets. These are the ingredients for a unique experience. Everyone was perfect, the captain and crew, our cook, the organisers. Really recommended. On our boat, the most beautiful boat on the Nile, we had everything we needed. We set sail from Aswan and sailed following the wind. How beautiful!

Great Boat- Great Crew-Great Foodp - Our 1 night cruise was the perfect trip for us on the Nile on a Falucca. The boat was great, having the bathroom relived any stress of traveling with my teens. The food was amazing and the crew - Mohammed and Medoo were professional, warm and friendly. There were no concerns the entire time. Amazing trip and we would do it again.

Magical journey on my beloved felucca upon the mighty Nile - Unforgettable 3 night Nile tour. If you are a ‘rush rush rush person’ this is not for you. If you want utter relaxation, calm and space to allow events to unfold. Book this treat. You won’t regret it! Ahmad, Waleed and Sabid did everything they could to make my trip memorable and made me feel looked after and safe. I travelled as a solo female and in fact was the only person onboard. ‘You are a Queen’ Ahmad said at the start of the journey… and so I was treated. Delicious vegetarian meals were made lovingly (they checked my dietary requirements beforehand). In fact there was so much food, fruits and snacks on offer every day I could not complain. Cold bottled water whenever I required it. Ahmad was exceptionally attentive and was amiable, reassuring company along the way. It is clear he and Waleed are good friends and they joked and bantered the whole way and are expert boatmen too. Their confidence and skill was fascinating to watch. Sleeping arrangements were great, I was given the whole area to sleep on comfortable mattresses and cushions to lay my head. My suitcase was stowed away safely each night and brought out patiently upon my many requests. The trip to the camel market by tuktuk was funny! Although it was sad to see these beautiful noble animals here. The souk was more enjoyable with beautiful displays of fruit, vegetables and spices. Ahmad was my guide and never left my side, buying fresh bread to eat in our tuktuk on the way back to the felucca. We bought spices and greeted the locals. Everyone we met had a ready smile and Ahmad taught me enough Egyptian to get by 😃 The temple visits were awesome. Komombo, Sinsila and Edfu all exceeded my expectations. I could spend as much time as I wanted as I went alone. My few Egyptian phrases granted me smiles everywhere. The breathtaking sunrises and sunsets were worth the price of the felucca trip alone. The birdlife and the calm motion of the felucca upon the Nile gave ample time ‘to just be’, sunbathe on the sundeck, read or listen to Bob Marley. Ahmad loves him 😃 The toilet was always clean with running water and a light. And every evening a chance to dip in the Nile and experience this beautiful river with the team and the locals was a gift. I’m not confident in the water, but I had no worries in this cool, clear water. One evening Sabid climbed a mango tree and when the prized fruit dropped in the river, Waleed immediately stripped and dived in to retrieve it. It was hilarious, I laughed so much. We all did. Ahmad then presented the mango to me. I was very touched by their kindness and unwavering generosity. It was DELICIOUS. I must have eaten at least five mangoes. Everyday Waleed at the office rang to check in with me and sent temple tickets via WhatsApp. It was lovely to receive a call from him. And he also arranged a taxi to my hotel in Luxor. Professional, friendly and helpful. It was a sad day when I left. Please book JJ Jamaica Felucca tours, it is an unimaginable treat. You will not regret it! I went in the low season and although it was hot, it did afford me deluxe attention onboard my beloved felucca and empty temple grounds without crowds. I didn’t regret a moment of it. Please book this tour and keep these good men working and providing for their families. I will definitely return to Aswan to use JJ Jamaica again for a longer tour. This review is from my heart ❤️

Navigate in peace on the Nile - It was just me and my husband on the Felucca with bathroom... it was beautiful! We stopped a couple of times to bathe in the cold waters of the Nile, we visited the Daraw camel market and the Kom Ombo site... but the added value was the presence of captain Mhamed and the cook and sailor Hussien! Two special people with whom we spent pleasant days.. Thank you for everything, an experience that I recommend to everyone👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Don’t miss this amazing journey - Fantastic trip on the Nile. If you want to really experience the Nile take a trip back in time on a lovely felucca. Mustafa and his crew were amazing hosts. Shaaban’s food was authentic and excellent. Heshm always assured we had smooth sailing. The boat is very comfortable. The best part is becoming family with the wonderful staff.

Amazon trip and professional crew - Amazing trip, friendly crew and good homemade food. Very good organisation of the trip, JJ Jamaica crew know their job, the Felucca is in good condition and also has toilets even if they’re really small we were happy to have this convenience. Mosquito nets and blankets for the night. We only spent one night on the felucca, so JJ Jamaica organized our pick up at kom Ombo to join Luxor at a very good price. I would recommend the experience. Tranquil and unforgettable - definitely recommended - Our (3 adults, 2 children aged 12 and 8) three-night private felucca trip from Aswan to near Edfu was unanimously chosen as the highlight of our three-week Egypt trip! Cruising along the Nile was bliss, it is such a peaceful and tranquil way to travel. Our crew of Ahmed, Wally and another guy looked after us extremely well. We spent most of the time chilling out on the boat, watching the Nile and scenery go by. We did a bit of light reading, played some games, went up on the top deck too. It was a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. The stops on the way were interesting - exploring Kom Ombo temple, getting a taste of local life in Daraw village (Ahmed walked us in, showed us around and bought us some fresh bread) and the beautiful Gebel El Silsila. The lunch and evening mooring stops were all stunning, mostly on sandy Nile beaches, with the opportunity for a swim in the Nile if you wanted. In the evening we watched the sunsets and did a bit of stargazing which was an extra special experience. The sailing was very calm and even. I had been mildly concerned about my 8 year old on a boat for three days - but life jackets were available if we wanted one and there was enough stability (and my daughter was sensible enough) that we didn't make use of them. Ahmed made some really delicious meals that even won over our picky 8-year-old. He was able to cater really well to us all being vegetarian. It’s impressive what can be done in a tiny kitchen! Water was provided and we had the opportunity to purchase (inexpensive) soft drinks at the start of the trip if we wanted - which were kept lovely and cool. The boat was spacious, comfortable, and kept very clean by the crew. Having a (western style) toilet was really appreciated and was also kept super clean by the crew throughout the trip. At night they wrapped the boat with material and provided plenty of comfy blankets. We didn't need mosquito nets but I think they were available if we wanted. The crew slept in a separate area in the front of the boat and one was on the roof - we always felt safe. Looking back, we couldn't be happier with our choice. Opting for the felucca over other options was definitely the best decision — the dahabiya boats we saw were all being towed by noisy tugs (apparently this is the norm) and the cruise ships were hugely noisy too. The felucca trip gave us a peaceful and authentic taste of Nile life that we'll be reminiscing about for years to come. If you're after a amazing Egyptian adventure, don't think twice about booking a felucca trip with JJ Jamaica —it's an definite must-do!
