Drive To Luxor By Train And Luxor West Bank Visit
Aswan Railway Station - You will be picked up from your hotel in Aswan and then travel to Luxor, arriving in approximately 4 hours.
Valley of the Kings - Begin your unforgettable day by driving to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.
Howard Carter House - Next, visit the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. Surrounded by a garden on an otherwise barren slope above the road from Deir al-Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, the house has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed on the edge of the garden, along with an exhibition related to the discovery of the tomb.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari - Then, visit the mortuary temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. Discover her beautiful temple and her intriguing story with her nephew.
Art Valley Alabaster Factory - After that, you will have the chance to visit the alabaster factory, where people still bring stones from the quarry and shape them into various handmade items, just like the ancient Egyptians did.
Tombs of the Nobles - Luxor - Next, visit the Valley of the Nobles, which contains the tombs of nobles in Luxor, such as Ramose, Senniffer, Menna, and over 400 other Theban nobles. These tombs, marked by numbers, feature beautifully carved scenes. Nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum, there are more than 400 tombs.
Ramesseum (Mortuary Temple of Ramses II) - Proceed to the Ramesseum temple, the memorial (or mortuary) temple of Pharaoh Ramses II. Located in the Theban necropolis in Upper Egypt, on the west bank of the Nile River, across from modern Luxor, the design of Ramesses’s mortuary temple follows the standard canons of New Kingdom temple architecture.
Temple of Medinat Habu - Continue to visit the Medinat Habu temple of King Ramses III, the last great warrior pharaoh of the New Kingdom (1550 – 1080 B.C.). The temple is well-preserved and decorated with military scenes and texts illustrating the king’s victories, as well as the rituals performed and festivals celebrated. A royal palace was attached to the temple’s open forecourt, while priests’ dwellings and administrative units lay on either side of the temple. After finishing, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
Luxor East Bank And Train Ride Back To Aswan
Temple of Karnak - Our guide will pick you up from your hotel, and then you will drive to see the largest temple ever built: Karnak Temple, constructed over 2000 years and covering an area of about 63 acres. Take some nice pictures among its huge pillars and obelisks.
Mummification Museum - Then, visit the Mummification Museum, which provides a comprehensive view of the entire mummification process through the display of many tools, objects, and equipment used in the process, as well as an explanation of the ritual and religious significance of the practice. Canopic jars, elaborately decorated coffins, mummified remains, amulets, and statues of deities are among the many objects on display.
Luxor Temple - Next, you will be transferred to enjoy Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are exhibited.
Aswan - Finally, you will take the train back to Aswan and then return to your hotel.
Note: If you would like to change the transfer to Luxor airport instead of Aswan, it is available.
