Aswan High Dam - Upon arrival in Aswan, the Journey to Egypt Tour Guide will greet you at the exit door, holding a sign with your name. Begin a 4-hour tour by visiting the magnificent Temple of Philae. Take a motorized boat to Agilika Island, where this sacred site dedicated to the goddess Isis showcases a blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman influences. The temple was carefully dismantled and reassembled during the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Continue to the granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk, a testament to the skill of Egypt’s stonemasons, standing one-third taller than any other ancient Egyptian obelisk. Then, board your Nile cruise boat and enjoy lunch. Later, experience a local felucca ride around the Aswan Islands, while savoring a refreshing Scenic Sundowner.
