- Howard Carter House - Next, visit the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. The house, surrounded by a garden on a barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations.
