A fantastic tour - The temple is amazing. The carvings were massive. It amazes me just how proportional they were. How they did them and then moved them is just mind blowing, The carvings on the inside are very detailed. This is a must see temple if you get a chance. The temple is marvelous and considering the age should be a 7 wonders of the world. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to witness this part of history This magnificent site is stunningly amazing. The monument statues are enormous and all carved from giant stones Philae Temple is on an idyllic little island so is approached on one of the many feloukas touting for business nearby. The approach from the water is breathtaking. You enter the temple via a spacious courtyard, lined with beautifully intact columns and are faced with 2 giant pylons with 15 foot high carvings. The guide helped to explain the history of the temple and point out things that we we otherwise would have missed. It was nice to just be able to wonder around freely for a while too.
