Jabal as Silsilah - Gebel Silsileh was a renowned quarrying area throughout ancient Egypt due to the quality of the building stone quarried here.
The site is rich in archaeological significance, with temples cut directly into the hills, such as the rock temple of Horemheb on the west bank. Many monuments here bear inscriptions from Merenptah, Ramesses II, Hatshepsut, Amenhotep II, and Ramesses III. Our Dahabiya will sail right to the foot of this majestic mountain, where we will be the only boat docked in this area. We will visit the Temple of Horemheb.

Temple of Horus - The Temple of Edfu is very dramatic.
It is dedicated to Horus and was built in Greco-Roman times.
Horus, the god of the sky, had eyes that were the sun and the moon. He became equated with the king, making the king a manifestation of Horus.

In the evening, we will have a barbecue on the beach of the beautiful Island of Fawaza, where you can relax, reflect on the day’s memories, and watch the stunning Egyptian sunset.
