It was worth it - Especially those who are architects will be delighted with the new library of Alexandria. The guide Sam was sensational: gentle, quiet and experienced.

Trip of a lifetime, what a truly wonderful experience! - I’ve been home a week and after being in Egypt for 31 days this was by far the highlight of our trip! It was just me, my nephew and son in law for the whole trip, and boy were we spoiled on this beautiful, well maintained Dahabiya called The Loulia. The captain and crew (including tug boat captain) were the nicest group of men ever, always smiling and preforming every aspect of their job with an easy efficient manner. From unfurling the sails, to being there for me when I needed an extra arm getting up steps. (Recent hip surgery). I can not say enough about the chefs meals, I’m vegetarian and at every meal there were so many dishes to try, everything was so fresh with so much flavor that I find my fruits and vegetables lacking in the States now, lol! It was almost to much food, breakfast was quite a spread followed by a delicious lunch and later tea and cookies, when dinner rolled around even if we weren’t hungry hungry we were there at the table to see what chef had come up with for a remarkable dinner experience! Every single thing served was amazing! And now about the egyptologist Mohammed, our tour guide. We learned so much from him, so knowledgeable and friendly, taking time to answer all of my nephews questions. The off boat tours along the way were amazing, he made each site come to life with tons of ancient information that was carved into the stone/marble. Even though it was only 4 nights and 5 days, by the time we were done, everyone on board felt like family. I’m 70 and have traveled a lot and I must say this was my favorite experience ever! If you’re thinking about a boat trip, this is the one, just do it, you will not regret it. And to all the crew and Mohammed, if you’re ever in the states, I’d love to show you Missouri! Thank you, thank you all, sincerely, Belinda.

Amazing Egypt! - We had an amazing trip to Egypt as a family of six. From the initial planning, to the arrival, and departure they did an amazing job of ensuring that we were cared for and we’re able to experience as much as possible. Hayam our tour organizer did a great job of taking the places I wanted to go and building a unique itinerary for my family. We traveled between many large cities in Egypt, and she coordinated the transport. I appreciated her quick response in the planning phase, and then once we arrived she checked in with us every day to ensure our trip was going as planned. We were able to experience so much of Egypt and learned so many amazing things about the history. It will be a trip we remember for a lifetime.

Skip the big boats!!!! - The cruise was just the two of us, the guide/Egyptologist, Ahmed, and the crew. It was amazing. Being on the Nile, seeing sunrises sunsets, a full moon plus animals birds. The food was to die for… Not literally. It was so good. The chef was very responsive to dietary needs. The service was exceptional from the server. The captain was, very very gracious our guide Ahmed, you could not want a better person to spend four nights with. We saw tombs, we saw villages, we saw a camel sale we saw… We saw a lot. a sailing trip is a very laid-back wonderful trip to really just enjoy sitting in a deck chair and watching the world go by. We recommend very very, very, very highly. The ship we sailed on was Loulia.

Definite 5 star, first class experience. Dahabaya and Tour guides Luxor/Cairo review Call them! - My husband and I recently used Tour Egypt Club to help us to coordinate our trip to Egypt. Salma, the person that helped me to obtain a must sought after Dahabaya Cruise in a suite was so helpful, informative, and patient. I had many questions for her over a course of months and she always responded quickly with all of the information I needed. I was having great difficulty finding the exact date and suite I wanted for such a cruise, and she coordinated easily. She also arranged for us to have two wonderful guides, one for the cruise, and one for seeing the pyramids in Cairo. Many may think that they do not need a private guide for a cruise, but I would disagree. There were others on our cruise where they did not get picked up for their excursions and had to stay on boat. Ashraf, our guide throughout the Dahabaya cruise and for a Nubian village even help us to know appropriate tipping guidance that was reasonable (I asked him for guidance). As someone that has never visited Egypt, this information was greatly useful. He also was available for questions if we had any after the cruise, very kind and gracious. He even drove to our hotel one day to help us. Salma also texted me often to make sure we had everything we needed, were having a good time and to just check on us. This was greatly appreciated and I have never experienced this level of customer service. I would not advise venturing out on your own as guides help you with everything from teaching you about the history and culture, but also help you negotiate for souvenirs and making sure that you are having a wonderful time. Our guide for the Dahabaya was named Nashef, he knew everything about all of the places we went to visit making this a much more culturally enriching experience. He also shielded us from persons trying to sell selll sell lol, which was greatly appreciated. In Cairo, we had a lovely young tour guide named Samaa. She was also terrific at her job, extremely informative, and had a really fun day with her. She even took us to a store to buy the soccer shirts we wanted and helped us to negotiate a price! (we asked to be taken there) She and our driver were so friendly and funny, it really made the experience great! I just want to add, that some men at the pyramids were trying to take advantage of us and have us greatly overpay for a couple of photos taken with their camel (with our own camera). Samaa put a stop to this at once and negotiated a fair price. I can't tell you how grateful I was to have her. As for the Dahabaya, I don't think that I met a more friendly, kind, and helpful group of people. I was very sick the first day (bronchitis, not covid) and they even had the chef make a special soup for me and kept bringing me warm tea, checking on me to make sure I was ok. We could tell that each and every person took great pride in their work and always had a smile. Everyone working for and with Tours Egypt is worth their weight in Gold! Thank you for everything and all that you did to make this a memorable and cherished experience for us both! -- -P.S. My husband is Rob O, he should give 5 stars too because I know he loved the experience and having private guides as well. I think he thinks 'everyone has room for improvement." I highly recommend this group to help with Egypt touring! We are still going through all of our photos and smiling! Defite 5 star first class experience.

Dahabiya - The Dahabiya Nile cruise that Tour Egypt arranged was the highlight of my trip to Egypt. I was in a small boat with about 9 other guests and loved the cozy feel of meals as one group. The crew were detail oriented, and worked hard to make sure our every need was met. They made special touches like homemade limonade and chilled hibiscus tea. The guides were knowledgeable and also worked hard. Make sure to tell your guide if you don’t want to visit anything but the ancient sites, because they will take you to shops that purport to be a “museum” that gives demonstrations of old crafts, when actually it’s just another place to try and sell you something. Salma was the Tour Egypt representative with whom I worked and she was excellent with her help and communication.

Highly recommend our tour guide - My husband and I had a wonderful experience especially with our guide Mohammed Salem. He is very knowledgeable and dedicated to his work. We felt being well taken care of. I missed the luxor temple tour due to health issues. Salem chose a nice lunch location the next day so that I could have a chance to take a look at the luxor temple. See attached photo. We felt lucky to have him as our guide, and strongly recommend him if you take this tour.

So pleased we chose a Dahabyia - Fantastic way to see the Nile. From start to finish the crew and our guide Salem, made sure we had the best experience. Sailing on the Dahabyia stopping at small villages and remote locations and watching the large cruise boats steam past in a fog of diesel fumes, we knew we had made the best choice. The crew made us very welcome, service was relaxed - we could help ourselves to hot and cold drinks or you could ask the crew to make it for you. Remember to take your own alcohol if you want it. Our chef was good and provided buffet style flavoursome food and catered well for vegetarians - he was also pretty good on the Egyptian drum and could sing. My favourite part was the BBQ on the Nile banks with a local music trio and seeing the crew chill out and get us all dancing with them. We had our own guide, Salem, who made sure that we went to the big temples at the best time and accompanied us back to Luxor where he guided us on the West Bank. He kept all the trips to a time scale that worked well for us with no waiting around for other people or transfers, everything seemed to work seamlessly thanks to the preparation from Salma and fine tuning by Salem. Our boat was the Royal Cleopatra, it was not luxurious but it was comfortable and felt right for the experience as a whole. There was another group of English speaking guests that we got on well with and made the cruise fun. Unfortunately there was also a group of smokers (including cigar smokers) who seemed to feel is was ok to smoke on the deck and allow smoke to waft over the rest of us. There is a lot of rubbish on the banks of the Nile which is such a shame, with the help of the crew we did do a beach clean one night - perhaps this should be part of every cruise to show that tourists and Egyptians care? I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Wonderful Experience - The staff onboard are so nice. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Cruising along the Nile was such a wonder experience. The food was traditional and everything was always so tasty. Wine and beer are available onboard. A nice break to the crazy that is Egypt, most at peace we felt with no scammers or constant harassment to buy goods.
