Additional Information

An Egyptologist guide fluent in French will fetch you from your location in Aswan to begin an approximately 4-hour journey of discovery. Beginning with a private car ride to Lake Nasser, the excursion includes a visit to Kalabsha, accessible by motorboat as it is now situated on an island. The island hosts multiple monuments that were relocated by Unesco, due to the rising water levels in Lake Nasser, brought on by the construction of the new Aswan Dam. The temples of Kalabsha, Beit El-Ouli, and Gerf Hussein can be found here, along with stelae, chapels, and Grafitti preserved on this island. You’ll then return to your vehicle and proceed to the dock situated between Aswan’s two dams. Here, you’ll board another motorboat to explore the preserved monuments of Philae where the grand temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis, a chapel honouring the Goddess Hathor, and the kiosk of Roman Emperor Trajan are situated.
