Begin an incredible day in the charming and tranquil city of Aswan by visiting the ancient granite quarry, where the Pharaohs once carved their magnificent obelisks. One impressive piece, approximately 45 feet tall, is believed to belong to Queen Hatshepsut.

Next, enjoy a brief journey across the old British reservoir to reach the High Dam, constructed in 1969. This remarkable project, a collaboration between the USSR and Egypt, protects the country from annual flooding.

Continue to the Philae Temple, admiring the picturesque Nubian houses along the way. A short motorboat ride will take you to the majestic Philae Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Isis. This was the last temple built in Egypt and was relocated by UNESCO in 1960.
