The grand Temple of Abu Simbel, constructed by Ramses II, was saved from the Nile’s waters and stands as a testament to ancient Egyptian monuments. Nearby, the smaller Temple of the King’s wife Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, was also preserved.

An optional sound and light show at Karnak Temple is available. Overnight stay in Luxor.
Temple of Karnak - An Egyptology expert guide will lead you through the Karnak Temple complex. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, means “The Most Sacred of Places,” and it includes temples dedicated to Mut, Montu, Osiris Hek-Djet, Amun, and the Sacred Lake.
Luxor Temple - Continue to Luxor Temple, built by King Amenhotep III and dedicated to Amon-Re, his consort Mut, and their son Khons.
The Obelisk of Ramses II was completed by Tutankhamun and Horemheb, with additions by Ramses II.
