Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river which has been landscaped to match its original site. It’s various shrines and sanctuaries celebrate the deities involved in the myth of Isis and Osiris.

Aswan High Dam - Then go to the High Dam to see a modern achievement of the Egyptians which took them 10 year to be built, from 1960 to 1970, see the second largest artificial lake in the world, lake Nasir and cross over the friendship emblem.

Philae#Abu Simbel#RamssesII#Nefertari#Aswan high dam#Low dam - I visited Philae temple, high dam, low dam and Abu simbel. It was an engineering miracle saving the temples from under the waters of lake Nasser by cutting it to large pieces, dismantled, lifted and reassembled in a new location. You will be wondered about these engineering ideas. It’s worthy ❤️

Most knowledgeable and patient tour guide - The very best way to see the monuments in and around Aswan,Luxor, is to see them with Khaled from Luxortourguide Tours We spent three days with Khaled in and around Luxor. We have travelled to about twinty countries and had some excellent guides in many of them. We rate Khaled in the top Five percent of those guides. He is an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist, and in each place showed us details and gave us informed explanations and insights that none of the other guides seemed to share with their guests. He went out of his way to make sure we had a thorough and highly historical understanding of what we were seeing. His English is impeccable, and he is an incredibly enthusiastic and pleasent person. You will not find a better guide in Egypt. We know because we tried some others here and in Cairo. They were good, but not in the same league as Khaled.
