great visit of the old city! - We went on a guided tour of the village with Mohammed who was a great guide. As a local of the town, we got insight on life in the village, culture, and history. Afterwards, we had tea with Mohammed where he responded to all of our questions and told us more about life in ait ben haddou. Really great tour and really beautiful place to visit. I highly recommend!

This place is awesome - The highlight of our trip even though we didn't even know it existed. We made the wise choice to hire a local guide which made all the difference. I would suggest you do the same.

100% recommended visit - A fantastic experience, the magical place and the guide, as well as the prior contact with Nuria, luxury.
Infinite patience with the different rhythms of the group of friends -6 people-, flexible hours and totally at our disposal

The trip we dream of. - My husband and I went on our honeymoon and it was wonderful.
I had always wanted to go see the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, and at first we were a little scared because of the gay couple vs. Morocco issue, but not at all.
The guide who was from there was attentive, respectful, generous, kind... I have no words for Mohamed. He gave us a guided tour with great details that don't even appear in the books.
The visit takes you back a thousand years since there is no electricity or running water, everything is done with their hands in an artisanal way, a joy that enriches you spiritually.
Mohamed also took us to have tea with several of his friends, who more than friends, I would say that they are all family there.
We went somewhere to take a camel route which was amazing.
And well, when they showed us the tent in which we were going to sleep in the desert, I almost fell on my back, they made us feel like we were kings.
We will repeat without hesitation, thank you very much for everything.

A mystical visit - Knowing this space is important to realize its mysticism. The reason for its existence is noble. A zone of trade where the north and the south (mountain and desert) come together at a strategic point. So this space that we can call a warehouse played a fundamental role. Built at a time when trade was creating cities. You have mysticism and your visit is important. I think it should be better preserved, and it was interesting to see a renovation to rebuild because it is very destroyed. Pu alternatively create a model to show your previous look. The climb to it allows you to feel the charisma. I recommend visiting the Berber workshop where you can see how the paintings and illustrations are created on paper. They create colors with their own technique.

A slice of ancient history - Great experience, worth the visit. And Mohammed is a great guide too. I enjoyed the walk, the views, learning a bit more about the history of the place. My only regret is not bringing cash for shopping. I didn’t realize people still live there. Which makes it even more amazing.

Very Disappointing - We were supposed to meet at the meeting point at 11am. The meeting point was given to us with the ticket. We followed the directions from the navigation system (link was provided). No one showed up at the agreed time. About an hour later, the tour guide called me and told me that he was waiting for us at a restaurant (unknown to us). The meeting point indicated on the ticket (including the directions) was not a restaurant! Around 11:15am, we continued on our own without the tour guide. Very disappointing.
