Itinerary: Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Zagora - Tinfou

Ait Ben Haddou - Begin your journey bright and early as your driver collects you from Marrakech at 7:30 am. Travel for approximately 2 hours through the stunning Atlas Mountains, passing the scenic Tizi ‘n Tichka Pass, with stops for breakfast and photos. Proceed to Ouarzazate, pausing to explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Enjoy lunch there before heading to Zagora. Journey through Agdez and several Berber villages, visiting the Draa Valley and its lush palm groves. Upon reaching the heart of a Tinfou village, bid farewell to your driver and embark on a camel ride. Travel to your desert camp across the picturesque sand dunes for about an hour and a half, arriving in time to witness the breathtaking desert sunset. Savor tea with the nomads, relish dinner, and enjoy traditional Berber music around a campfire.

Day 2: Tinfou- Tamegroute- Erg Chegaga Big Sahara

Zagora - Rise early to catch the desert sunrise, then enjoy breakfast before leaving your tranquil desert camp. Your driver will take you to Tamegroute, where you can explore the authentic pottery kilns, the Koranic library with ancient manuscripts, and the underground kasbah. After sharing tea with a Berber family, depart by 4x4 to M’Hamid, a small village and the last town and oasis in the Draa before reaching the vast desert of Erg Chegaga in the Sahara. Continue your desert adventure with a 60km off-road drive from M’hamid to the Erg Chegaga dunes, the largest dune group in the Sahara. Delight in the golden desert sunset before enjoying a traditional dinner and an overnight stay in a Berber tent.

Day 3: Erg Chegaga - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Ouarzazate - After breakfast at the Erg Chegaga camp, embark on a 4x4 journey across the historic Paris-Dakar race route to Foum Zguid, crossing the naturally dried-up Lake Iriqui. Pause for lunch in Ouarzazate, then continue to Marrakech. Expect to arrive in the late afternoon, around 6 pm, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Riad.
