Ait Ben Haddou - At 8:00 AM, the journey towards the desert begins, crossing the magnificent Atlas Mountains. The route includes the Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, with stops at various scenic viewpoints for photos and to appreciate the stunning landscapes. A visit to a local argan oil cooperative is included to learn about the production and traditional uses of this valuable oil.

With a local guide, participants will explore the historic village of Ait Benhaddou, home to the renowned Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic site has been featured in many famous films, such as The Gladiator and The Jewel of the Nile.

After lunch, the journey continues to Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert. The route then passes through the Valley of Roses, skirting the expansive palm groves of Skoura and Boumalne.

The day concludes with an overnight stay at a hotel in the Dades Gorges, where dinner and breakfast are included.

Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Jorf - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

Merzouga - Following breakfast, the journey to Merzouga begins, passing through the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. There will be time for a relaxed lunch before continuing deeper into the desert. Upon reaching the majestic Erg Chebbi Dunes in Merzouga, a traditional welcome tea will be served, showcasing the desert’s famous hospitality.

Soon after, a camel caravan will set off, embarking on a one-hour trek through the dunes. There will be a stop to admire the stunning desert sunset. The destination is a tented camp, where a traditional dinner will be served, accompanied by local music, before spending the night under the starry desert sky.

Desert - Anti-Atlas - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Ouarzazate - An early rise is planned to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the expansive desert dunes before starting the return journey to Marrakech. The route traverses the strikingly beautiful yet rugged desert landscapes, passing through the Draa Valley, where a local guide will introduce the region’s people and their customs.

After crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains, the journey arrives in Ouarzazate for a lunch stop. In the afternoon, the trip continues through the High Atlas Mountains, reaching Marrakech by approximately 6:00 PM.
