Marrakech to Dades Gorge

Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - Departing from Marrakech, we embark on a picturesque drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through charming Berber villages and lush valleys. Along the way, we’ll stop at the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, a well-preserved kasbah that has served as a backdrop for numerous films.
Continuing our journey, we’ll drive through the captivating Todra Gorge, where sheer cliffs rise dramatically from the canyon floor. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the riverbanks, taking in the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the gorge.
As the day comes to a close, we arrive at our accommodation in the Dades Gorge, where you can relax and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner amidst the stunning surroundings.

Dades Gorges - The Dades Gorges, also known as Gorges du Dadès, are a breathtaking series of deep canyons located in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Carved by the Dades River over millennia, these dramatic gorges offer visitors a stunning display of natural beauty and geological wonder.

The landscape of the Dades Gorges is characterized by towering rock formations, sheer cliffs, and winding roads that snake through the rugged terrain. The reddish hues of the rock formations contrast with the greenery of the riverbanks and the blue sky above, creating a visually striking scene.

Tizi n Tichka - The Tizi n’Tichka Pass, often simply referred to as Tichka Pass or Tizi n’Tichka, is one of the most famous mountain passes in Morocco. It’s located in the High Atlas Mountains, connecting the city of Marrakech to the city of Ouarzazate and beyond, traversing the Atlas range at an elevation of approximately 2,260 meters (7,415 feet) above sea level.

Dades Gorge to Merzouga

Valley of the Roses - After breakfast, we set off towards the desert town of Merzouga, passing through the captivating landscapes of the Sahara Desert. Along the way, we’ll make stops to explore the captivating Todra Gorge and the charming town of Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops.
Arriving in Merzouga, we’ll embark on a camel trek into the heart of the desert, where you’ll witness the breathtaking beauty of the dunes as the sun sets. Spend the night at our desert camp, nestled amidst the sand dunes, and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the starlit sky.

Merzouga - Merzouga Desert, also known as Erg Chebbi, is one of Morocco’s most iconic and captivating desert landscapes. Located in the southeastern part of the country, near the town of Merzouga, this vast expanse of golden sand dunes is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking adventure, natural beauty, and cultural immersion.

Merzouga to Marrakech

Atlas Studios - Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the Sahara Desert, casting a golden glow over the dunes. After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to the desert and begin our journey back to Marrakech.
En route, we’ll make stops at scenic viewpoints and traditional villages, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Morocco. Arrive back in Marrakech by late afternoon, where our desert adventure concludes.

Merzouga is famous for its towering sand dunes, which can reach heights of up to 150 meters (500 feet). These majestic dunes create a surreal and mesmerizing landscape that is unlike anything else in the world. Visitors are often captivated by the ever-changing patterns of the sand, especially during sunrise and sunset when the dunes are bathed in golden light. Spending a night in a desert camp is a quintessential Merzouga experience. These camps, set amidst the dunes, offer a chance to disconnect from the outside world and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the desert.
