Traversing the Atlas Mountains. - Younis was an excellent driver. He excelled through the high Atlas. We especially enjoyed Ait ben Haddou and appreciate arranging the guide. We highly recommend this excursion through Viator.

Would recommend! - My girlfriend and I had a fantastic trip to Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. Our driver Mohammed was great, very friendly and although it was a long drive (3+ hours) it didn’t feel that long as the views of the Atlas Mountains along the way are amazing and keep you entertained. There are also many places to stop along the way to take photos and buy souvenirs. Our guide Abdul in Ait Ben Haddou was excellent, very friendly and knowledgeable having been born and raised there. The Atlas studios in Ouarzazate was interesting although if you’re not a film person then you might consider skipping this and spending more time in Ben Haddou. Overall I would definitely recommend this tour, it was one of the highlights of our time in Morocco!

Awesome day-trip! - This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I booked this tour the day before, received confirmation and a few hours later, the tour agent contacted me via text msg. My driver, Simon, was punctual, a good driver and very professional. communication was not an issue, Simon made his best effort to communicate with me in English. It was a long drive, approx. 4 1/5 hours each way, so perhaps, next time I would probably stay in Ouarzazate to explore more of the area. However, if you decide or need to return to Marrakesh, I highly recommend this tour.

Great visit outside of Marrakech - This was a great way to not only see Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, but it's also a great way to see the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages around it. Our guide Said drove for the 2 of us the entire day. Nonetheless, he was cheerful and informative and a skillful driver. He also spoke perfect English. He shared information on Moroccan culture and was fully knowledgeable of all the sights that we visited. This trip was a great way to see the Moroccan countryside outside Marrakech. I highly recommend this tour.

A nice trip to Ouarzazate - Lovely trip towards Ouarzazate. We had the car just for us and this was great. The driver was kind and we enjoyed both the visit to Ati Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. We especially loved the Kasbah at Ouarzazate. Nice also to see the Atlas cinema studios. I’d suggest to go to the studios especially if you have kids

A nice trip to Ouarzazate - The tour was great. The car was really comfortable and this allowed us to relax during the journey towards Ouarzazate. The driver has been really kind and made feel us at ease. We really enjoyed the visit to Ati Ben Haddou but what we really loved the most was the visit to the Kasbah at Ouarzazate. I would suggest to visit it with a guide but it’s easy to find one when you arrive there. We also visited the Atlas cinema studios. The tour of the studios was really nice. I would suggest to go there especially to those ones that have kids

Fun private tour with add-on camel ride + great driver - My partner and I booked this private tour and had a great time! We chose the 8 am pickup option. Add-ons like the camel ride were handled during the tour. The company messaged me on WhatsApp (based on my phone number used in my booking) around 10:30 pm the night before our tour to confirm details.
Shortly before 8 am, our driver Abderrahim gave us an exact location for pickup since cars cannot get to every riad in the medina. The vehicle was a comfortable Mercedes Benz van with AC. We asked to add the camel ride, so he coordinated that while safely driving us out of Marrakech.
Abderrahim was friendly, attentive, and a good driver! He shared lots of interesting facts along way like details about the flora and towns, and he made pitstops in the mountains for photos / bathrooms / snacks which made the 3+ hour drive go faster. The Tichka view point was particularly cold and windy, so plan for long pants and layers in February.
Our private camel ride was around 10 mins drive before Ait Ben Haddou and lasted about 15 mins. It was a good amount of time to try riding a camel for the first time!
We opted for a private local guide to take us around Ait Ben Haddou, so we got to hear about his Berber culture and where different movies were filmed on site. We also got a neat demo of invisible ink used by the Berbers from Instagram @iyib_art. (Cash 200 dirhams + tip)
Afterwards we were taken to a restaurant for a late lunch (cash only), then to Atlas Studios (accepted credit card). It's a guided studio tour and very interactive! Our guide was a pro at helping the big group take photos and videos.
The last stop was to see the outside of Kasbah Taourirt in Ouarzazate (free). It was 4:30 pm then, so we headed back to Marrakech with one bathroom / snack break in the mountains.
We really appreciated that we got the option to stop to buy things like argan oil, but weren't forced to.
Overall it was a smooth day trip, and we recommend splurging on this private tour to get the additional experiences that you won’t get on a group tour.

Authentic, personalized experience - We had a short time in Morocco and wanted to get outside of Marrakech to see smaller towns and the Atlas Mountains. We were super happy with our day and would highly recommend the private tour. We absolutely loved Ait Benhaddou and the local guide was fantastic. He completely understood what we were interested in seeing. We especially enjoyed our time in Telouet, which the large bus tours skip. Our driver was extremely flexible and very friendly. He allowed us to organize our time how we wanted and was open to any changes we suggested. It was a fun excursion and gave us a great perspective on the surrounding area outside of Marrakech. Go for it -- this is a fun day!

More like a transfer than a tour during the drive time. - This was more like a transfer, rather than a tour. Our guide was very nice, but we had difficulty understanding him and he had difficulty understanding us. Not much was said during the long drive time.
The included guide at Ait ben Haddou was very good. We told him that we were not interested in the invisible ink demonstration, so we moved on. Studios were interesting, but they too have their own guide. This is what made the entire experience an average rating.
I debated about going with the group tour, but thought this tour would provide more information and pickup. Pickup was at a closest gate, not at the riad and little was said during the drive. The group tour probably would have been the better choice.
