Magical - I have wantefed to go here for such a long time but every visit to Marrakech my friends say it is too far. So, this time I came alone so I could make the trip. It's a long journey but so worth it. The views in the High Atlas Mountains are stunning but the highlight was going to Ait Ben Haddou, especially was my brother's favourite film and he sadly passed away last year aged 40. I ftheelt I was making a pilgrimage for him to see where it was filmed. Taking that out of the equation, the history of the Kasbah is incredible and I was very lucky to have a guide called Ismail (hopefully spelt correctly) who was very knowledgeable and was only too pleased to answer all of my questions about the place. On the way back my driver was Mohammed, and he was wonderfully engaging and great company for the long journey back. He was a very safe driver with good knowledge of the roads and checked on my comfort etc. I would like to have Mohammed as a driver next year when I come back and do another tour, maybe to the waterfalls or desert.
