Into the Heart of the Sahara

As a wildlife photographer with a penchant for adventure, the allure of the Sahara Desert was irresistible. The journey began in Marrakech, where the bustling city life quickly faded into the serene landscapes of the Atlas Mountains. The Tizi n’Tichka pass offered breathtaking views, a gateway to the vast desert beyond. Our first stop was Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that seemed to rise from the earth like a mirage. The ancient ksar, with its earthen buildings and towering walls, was a testament to the region’s rich history and architectural prowess.

The drive was long, but the anticipation of reaching the desert kept our spirits high.
