Visit Ancient Delphi archaeological guide and Meteora, two legendary UNESCO World Heritage sites, on a 2-day tour from Athens! With an expert guide, explore the archaeological site at Delphi on a walking tour and learn about Ancient Greece while seeing the Sanctuary of Apollo and more. Travel through the picturesque towns of the Thessalian plains, and stay overnight in a 3- or 4-star hotel in Kalambaka, gateway to Meteora. The following day, explore two of Meteora’s beguiling cliff-top monasteries before making the journey back to Athens.
- A dress code is required to monasteries. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- French speaking available ONLY on Wednesdays ON Apr 3,10-May 15-Jun 12,19,26-Jul 3,10,24-Aug 5,21,28-Sept 4,11,18-Oct 16,23,30. . During winter tour run ONLY in English
- Very important: Children aged 5 to 12 years old must hold passport or ID in order to get the discounted price. Otherwise they will pay entrance ticket to the Archaelogical sites or Museums.

Wonderful experience - One of the best guided tour I’ve ever experienced, massive thanks to the guide Stathi! I didn’t feel as rushed as some reviews stated. Long drive, but with a few stops here and there it's perfectly doable.

Impressive historical sites to see - We loved our visits to Delphi and Meteora. Our guides gave us a lot of important and interesting information about the two historic sites. Meteora, in particular, was spectacular for the views. We highly recommend visiting these two sites with guides who can give important background information and answer your questions!

Guides - Excellent guides and marvelous views. Stops were timed just right. Took this tour in April but was starting to get crowded. Top notch. Would go again.

Beautiful and Informative - Well trained and versed guides. Polite snd eager to share their knowledge of the area. Efficient, on time and on schedule
The only detractor was no water in the AM at the Meteora hotel

Amazing experience - Delphi and Meteora trip. - Both days at Delphi and Meteora were wonderful and both tour guides wile had were wonderful especially Stathi for the Meteora leg. If I were to nit-pick (and this would really nit-picking) it would be great to add a short stop at that beautiful village just before the Archaeological site in Delphi. I also appreciate it may not be possible because of how packed the day is. I would have been ok arriving in Meteora 30 minutes later if that meant we could do a photo stop in that village.
But even with the trip as it was I would highly recommend it (sans the tyre problems of the bus on our way to Delphi😊)

Delphi & Meteora - This trip is absolutely worth the price, in fact, it was the highlight of our trip to Greece. The drive to Delphi and Meteora was scenic and we saw a few small mountain towns along the way. We had lunch by the sea with very good food which was included in the price.
The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star rating is because our van driver had the air condition setting at very low for half the trip and it was extremely hot. We finally complained and he turned up the air condition. Guests should not have to ask this when temperature is 100+ Fahrenheit.

Excellent guides and drivers under very busy conditions. - The tour guides and bus drivers were excellent. We had two as has to change over in Delphi. Plus the pick up person was excellent.
However, pick up was at 7.30am and we picked up people for other tours for the meeting place. Departure was at 8.45am with a group that was doing Delphi and return .
It was a confusing way to do the tour especially as the mini van we changed to already had people from Athens on it. And had plenty of spare seats for us.
The meals and lunch places we stopped at were all massed produced, and expensive for the quality.
With so many tourists using other companies the areas are stretched thinly, but the food could be improved or the prices dropped.
It was super busy with school groups besides tourist groups.
The guides did a great job at managing the situation especially as some groups are extremely pushy (physically) and loud. They were both knowledgeable and answered questions readily.
The drivers were good and found close spots to get in and out of sites.
I would suggest checking if cruise ships are in port and if possible pick a day that none are in.

A trip filled with stunning vistas. - The view in Delphi. It was a little rushed. Meteora was also a place with stunning views. Our guide was very good in explaining the monasteries.

Long wait at the end of the activity. - Attention. The company had groups of 15 people maximum. There were between 20 and 24 of us.
The second day we had to wait until 6 p.m. for the return bus. So we had free time from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is nothing else to do. Most of the shops are closed in the afternoon and they are only souvenir shops that look the same.
Very beautiful site which deserves to be visited but better organized.
The hotel was very good with a good breakfast. Hotel Alexiou I recommend!
