Enjoy feta cheese, savory pies, sweet bougatsa, pita with gyros, skewers or soutzouki, and perhaps some fresh fruits or olives when the central market is open. Experience Greek coffee, wine, or beer while engaging in lively sports discussions like a true local! The tour begins at Athens’ most multicultural spot, Omonoia Square, and proceeds towards the city’s commercial hub. As we navigate the bustling streets, we’ll arrive at the Central Food Market to sample some favorite Greek nuts and a spirit known as tsipouro, followed by a visit to the meat and fish market (closed on Sundays, but this won’t impact the tour). A must-try in Greece is meze (similar to tapas), which will be our next stop. We’ll wander through the charming narrow streets of Psirri, a popular area for outings, to enjoy a Greek coffee and delve into Greek coffee culture. Continuing through Psirri, we’ll reach another lively area to savor the delightful honeyballs!

Voula’s tour was wonderful! - I recommend taking a food tour with Voula. She was interesting and knowledgeable. She quickly made us feel like we were all friends. The tour was informative and fun. The places she took us to served delicious food. Voula’s pace throughout the tour was perfect. We had the perfect amount of time at each stop. She taught us about so much more than just food. We learned history and culture, too. This was especially valuable because her tour was the first thing we planned after arriving in Athens at the beginning of our stay.
My wife, our friends, and I all enthusiastically recommend Voula as a guide.

An amazing experience you simply need to try! - I had recently hosted for a few days my relatives from Japan. We had the idea of combining Athens sightseeing with a Greek food tour. After some research I ended up with selecting Voulas Tours. We had a conversation first with Voula to discuss food preferences and she tailored the food experience to the specific needs along with our sightseeing itinerary. I have no words to express my gratitude for such an unforgettable tour that my relatives simply loved it!! A Culinary Adventure Through History!!!!! - If you want to experience Athens beyond the ruins, this food tour is a must. Led by our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Voula, the tour took us through local markets, hidden bakeries, and traditional meze places we’d never have found on our own.
We started with a strong Greek coffee and koulouri, then sampled spanakopita, loukoumades, local cheeses, olives, and even had an olive oil tasting. Every stop came with fascinating stories about Greek culture and culinary traditions, making the experience both delicious and educational.

A great food tour in Athens! - I really enjoyed my walk in downtown Athens, and I tasted everything from souvlaki and feta to pistachios from Aegina (fystiki aiginis). Voula took me to several little shops selling Greek specialties.

Amazing experience tasting and learning Greek cuisine and culture…. - WOW!!!! What an amazing night and experience on our food tour with Voula. My wife, 2 daughters (21 and 14), and I did this evening tour with Voula and have nothing but rave reviews. It was everything we hoped for and more. It is a perfect balance of learning about Greek culture thru the streets of Athens while eating amazing food at places you would never find on your own. Voula mixes it up with appetizers, main courses, deserts, and some vino at a lot of different stops. And Voula is AMAZING…..so pleasant, knowledgeable, funny….felt like she was part of the family. We all highly recommend going on this tour with Voula. Bravo!!
