- Athens Tiare Hotel - Embark on a three-hour journey into Greek cuisine! This walking tour will reveal the everyday foods beloved by Greeks. From feta cheese and savory pies to sweet bougatsa, pita with gyros, skewers, or soutzouki, and perhaps some fruits or olives if the central market is open. We’ll also sample Greek coffee, wine, or beer and chat about sports like a true local! Our meeting point is Athens’ most multicultural spot, Omonoia Square, where we’ll begin our tour towards the city’s commercial area. As we navigate the bustling streets, we’ll arrive at the Central Food Market to taste some of my favorite Greek nuts and a spirit called tsipouro, followed by a visit to the meat and fish market (closed on Sundays, but this won’t affect the tour). A must-try in Greece is meze (similar to tapas), which will be our next stop. We’ll wander through the narrow streets of Psirri, a favorite area for outings, and enjoy a Greek coffee while discussing Greek coffee culture. Through Psirri, we’ll reach another lively area to savor gyros and the delightful honeyballs!

What an experience !!!!... - What an experience !!!! Voula was a wonderful guide very informative and felt like we were her friends visiting from out of town. She took us to places where only the locals get their authentic ,delicious food mixed with a bit of history, culture and lots of laughs 😂 and away from the touristy places. A must do when you visit Athens !! Thank you Voula for the wonderful time we had, tastes and secret authentic recipes you shared with me!

Highly recommended food tour in Athens !!! - Amazing food tour with our guide Voula who was delightful, super friendly and very knowledgeable about Greek culture and food . She took us to some places (local market, small shops and restaurants hidden in the city of Athens ) we wouldn't have thought of going ourselves -despite our extensive research. Best tour to become acclimated to what Greek food lifestyle is like. I didn't want the tour to end ,Voula you are AWESOME !!!

Perfect taste of Athens - Voula was a great!. She showed us around the city and we learnt a lot about the culture and cuisine. The food tastings were great, we tasted foods in lovely spots that we wouldn’t have if we were on our own. One gets a good idea of the traditions and culture through this tasting tour. It is a great way to start one’s trip in Athens learning about the best places to eat and visit. Thank you Voula!
