A Wonderful Experience at the Acropolis - Our visit to the Acropolis in Athens was truly unforgettable, thanks to our incredible tour guide, Helen. From the moment we met her, her passion for history and her love for Greek culture were evident, and it made the experience so much more enriching. Helen had an exceptional ability to bring the ancient ruins to life. Her storytelling transported us back to the days of ancient Greece, as she vividly described the significance of the Parthenon, the Erechtheion, and other landmarks. She didn’t just share facts—she painted a picture of the people, the gods, and the events that shaped this iconic site. She also made sure everyone in our group felt included, taking time to answer questions and adjusting the pace so that all could enjoy the tour comfortably. She even gave us tips on the best spots for photos, making the experience both informative and fun. Helen’s expertise and warmth turned what could have been a simple tour into a deeply memorable journey through history. If you’re visiting the Acropolis, I wholeheartedly recommend Helen as your guide—she is simply fantastic!

Highly Recommend Acropolis and Museum Tours - We booked the Acropolis and Museum Tour and our guide Annie did an excellent job of taking us up to the Acropolis to interesting spots and she was so informative! We took our time and stopped often while she pointed out the history of this amazing place. After the tour, she went with a few of us on a smaller tour of the Museum for about an hour, which I recommend as well. October is a great time to visit, fewer crowds and people! One note for the tour operator is to provide better instructions in the booking confirmation to the "Athens Walks" office as we had trouble finding it, as did a few others on our tour, even using our phone for directions.

Yes! - Super informative. Passionate. Interested. Alexia knows her stuff. Her dog’s been on more archeological sites than most archaeologists. 👍👍👍

Totally worth it - loved our guide - We were very happy with the tour. We loved our guide, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. All of this archeology is overwhelming and I can't imagine going through the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum on my own, reading panels. I would have gotten so much less out of it. Now I have some basic knowledge. The system where the guide speaks into a microphone and the visitors have earphones works very well, especially in a noisy crowded site where you can't always be in easy hearing range of the guide.

Tremendous Tour - A visit to the Acropolis is a truly iconic event but without a skilled tour guide so much is lost in the moment. This tour provides so much insight, history, and context to the area. Our guide, Helena, was fantastic!!! She took to areas on the way up to the top I never knew existed. We were never rushed along. The site has some signs at various points but not nearly enough to gain a level of understanding Helena provided. In the Acropolis Museum, there are a lot of exhibits but not much in the way of explanations of what you’re actually seeing. Helena provided all that information. If you’re going to travel from far away to see this historic site, don’t shortchange yourself by not getting a fuller understanding of its impact on the world. This tour does that and is worth every penny.

Wear safe comfortable shoes - Our walking tour of the Acropolis, Parthenon, and the Acropolis Museum was an unforgettable experience, seamlessly blending history, architecture, and breathtaking views. The Parthenon, dedicated to Athena, stood as the highlight of the tour. Its grandeur and intricate details are awe-inspiring, even after centuries of wear. Standing before its iconic columns, I was struck by both the architectural ingenuity and the spiritual resonance of this monument. Harry provided fascinating stories about its construction and the rituals that once took place here, enriching our appreciation for this architectural masterpiece. After exploring the Acropolis, we made our way to the Acropolis Museum, a modern architectural gem. This walking tour was not just a lesson in history but also a profound encounter with Greece's cultural heritage.

Agood summary of the primary sites and information available at the Acropolis - Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of information on the Greek mythology behind the art and designs. The microphone devices allowed for privacy for the group and ease of communication for the guide. She did her best to find us ideal photo spots and provide little nuggets of info.
