Early Tour gets the space! - I’m glad a chose the earliest tour to visit as by the time we were headed down, the crowds trying to get in were crazy! Tour guide didn’t rush, gave plenty of time for individual exploration & had great historical knowledge to share. She was friendly & helped many people get their pictures in front of the Acropolis during the sunrise. Grateful I didn’t feel crowded the entire time we were there. Highly recommend going as early as possible. We even saw the military go in first for the raising of the flag.

Great Guide - Our guide was passionate about the acropolis and shared many details I had not known before. Her expertise on the subject matter, and thoughtful suggestions for sightseeing, made the tour worth every penny spent. You meet at the Main Gate. Go early in case you get confused like we did.

Great Early Access Acropolis Tour - Our guide, Niome, was very knowledgeable and explained about Acropolis hill, the Parthenon, greek history, and current day Greek landscape. It was really nice that we were the 1st tour group entering and our visit did not feel as crowded or hot in temperature.

Amazing experience, photos and we beat the heat! - Firstly we walked from our hotel to the meeting location, this in itself gave us a lovely morning walk through the streets of Athens. We arrived in time and had the time to stand on the large rock (forgive me I dont know its name) directly across and take beautiful photos of the city and the Parthenon without anyone else being there! Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable and going before the crowds arrived is so much better! We had plenty of time to look around, take photos and then met back up again to hear some really interesting facts and history about the temple and the location. Our guide then lead us to different areas, and as we had 20 minutes at the start with virtually no one there, we had all our photos. And thank god! As we were moving to a different area after 30 minutes or so, the crowds really started to build up. I could not have got the amazing photos we have with all those crowds. We moved down to the ampitheatre and to other locations for more history and knowledge, and our guide knew where to go and what to say - really enhancing the experience. We also got to meet the local cat! I would definetely recommend, as it gives a beautiful almost personal experience of the Parthenon. Our photos are amazing, and we then left the crowds, and the heat and enjoyed a beer locally whilst looking up at the temple and seeing the vast crowds. You beat the heat, the crowd and learn more about it. What more do you need!

Loved this tour! - A great tour, especially to beat the summer heat! Well organised, a great mix of free exploration and walking/listening to the guide. Never stood still for too long (very important for us as we travelled with a 4yo) and our guide (Adonis) gave us great recommendations for things to do after the tour (particularly the things to do before it got too hot!) Very easy to find - we used the Uber app to drop us at ‘Acropolis - West Canteen’ and then walked up the little road to the hill and found the tour guides very easily.

The best way to see the monument- avoiding the crowds and the heat! - We went on the tour July 13, and Athens weather was swealtering! So glad that we got up early to be there first thing! It was a treat to see the monuments before it became crowded with lots of people (and before it became unbearably hot!). Our guide Niobe was also fantastic and made the history of the place come alive and made the visit even more worthwhile! Meeting the crowds as we made our way down the hill convinced us even more that it was really worth being up early for the tour! /Anna and Henrik

Great way to beat the crowds! - What a great tour! Being among the first into the acropolis for the day meant not only beating the crowds, but the heat, too! We were even given 20 minutes once on top of the hill, to explore and take photos (without a million people in the background) before the formal tour started. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave great insight we would not have otherwise had. The tour ended within the gates so we could explore on our own. Highly recommend !!
