Additional Information
- In an effort to ensure that you will avoid any kind of discomfort and most importantly that you will feel comfortable, our guides may change order of the sites you may visit.
- Choose the private option for a more intimate experience at a starting time that can be arranged upon request
- For the option without entry tickets, the activity provider will buy in advance the tickets for you so as to avoid queuing, so carry some cash with you. Otherwise you can buy the tickets yourself but please make sure to be on time at the meeting point for the tour to start as programmed
- Entrance tickets (if you select option with entry tickets included) to be handed by the guide in paper form on date and time of the visit, at the meeting point.
- We cannot use the elevator to the Acropolis on group tours
- Strollers are not allowed in Acropolis
- The Acropolis of Athens is a citadel built on top of a relatively steep hill which can be slippery at specific spots especially when raining.
- Bring a bottle of water (no cafe-bar at the site, only a water fountain), a hat, sunglasses, and an umbrella on a rainy day.
- Not suitable for children under 6 years old
- Not suitable for people with mobility impairments.
Location
Crescendo Cafe
Outside Acropolis metro station opposite the Crescendo cafe, near the escalators of the Acropolis Metro station (follow the exit Makriyianni/Dionysiou Arepagitou). Your guide will be next to the Metro sign, on the Makrigianni pedestrian walkway, holding a white and light blue “Athenian Tours” sign.

Angela was the perfect guide for the Acropol - Angela was a perfect guide !
She was very smiley and enthusiastic. She explains all the details very clearly and with a lot of passionating anecdotes !

An exciting day at the Acropolis! - Oue tour guide was fantastic! He was so very knowlegeable with the information he provided and made it so interesting. Very good teacher. He was very helpful to all of us keeping us together in the crowds, especially those of us a little older and compromised. He was patient and did not rush us. Provided a great and memorable experience!

Great tour guide! - Our tour guide was fantastic! He was extremely informational about the history of the acropolis and the Parthenon. We learned so much! I would recommend you go as early as possible as the later it got it did get very busy and of course hot.

Amazing Alexia! - Alexia was an exceptional guide - so knowledgeable (studied archaeology at university) and incredibly considerate of finding us shade and seats at many moments during the tour, which was essential given the heat and sun (even on a 9am tour in May). I saw other tours who were unfortunately standing, exposed in the beating sun while we walked through trails under the shade of trees or heard ancient myths in the shade of the cliffs. I highly recommend the tour and insist that you take significant water and a hat - you’ll cool off and have an opportunity to have lunch/drinks in the museum but amenities are limited at the acropolis itself. Thank you again Alexia!

Best Tour I ever had! - Our guide was amazing. He was a wealth of knowledge that made learning about Acropolis fun and very memorable. We had plenty of time for pictures. Highly recommend your!

Excellent tour guide - Our guide Alexia was a really great tour guide and managed to accomodate everyone‘s need even in stressful situations. Her commentary was very insightful and she even provided us with tips for our further travels. Would recommend!

Alexia rocks the tour, - What a fantastic tour. Alexia was extremely knowledgeable but also passionate about the history of Greece and the Acropolis. She was engaging and even kept our teenager’s attention. We highly recommend the tour. If you want a truly extraordinary tour ask for Alexia as you can’t go wrong.

Disappointed!!! - That we missed our time slot due to ridiculous traffic a 15min ride from the port took over an hr and missed our tour by 30min and there was no one there waiting or anyway to give us our tickets to get in and had to purchase new ones... very disappointing
