Reservation changed - it worked out! - Although our original plan was changed because not enough people signed up for the walking by tour, we were upgrading to the bus tour. We enjoyed the drive around the city, and although we had wanted to walk through the garden, we will definitely be back and can do this on our own. We also enjoyed our tour guide’s thorough description of the sites we visited and all of the details she added. Our group was relatively large (maybe 15-20 people) and she did a good job making sure everyone was aware of the logistics and things we needed to know to get back with the group after our free time at the Acropolis. We also enjoyed the tour of the museum and were grateful for the time she took to point out the highlights of the exhibits. Overall, we were pleased with the tour, and will definitely be back to fill in the places we would have seen on the walking tour.

Tour of the Acropolis and new acropolis museum. - Marianna made this visit to the Acropolis really interesting. She was really clear and welearned a lot about the history of the Acropolis and also the new museum without being overwhelmed.

Ancient Greece - No visit to Greece would be complete without a visit to historical Athens and the Acropolis. Yes, everyone has seen pictures of these sites, but being there to see it in person is entirely different. Listening to the tour guides explain how these sites were built and what is being done to preserve them is amazing. The walking is not very strenuous so people of all ages are able to go. I was surprised by how close we were able to get to the remnants of the Acropolis.

Great Introduction to Athens - This was a great tour, particularly if you have never been to Athens or have limited time. It hits all the highlights, is well paced and the guide was outstanding. She really knew the history yet made it very accessible and put things into context.

Walking Tour was inspired experience. - Our guides for both parts of our tour were so knowledgeable about the history of Rome, we couldn't have been happier with our experience. It was disappointing to not get into St. Peter's Basilica due to a religious holiday (make sure to check the Catholic calendar prior to booking) but our guide made up for it by spending extra time going through every detail possible at the Vatican Museum.

Downloaded Tour Wouldn’t Work - It was a waste of money! We downloaded the tour before we left. It wouldn’t play. We spoke to a man half way up and he said it would only work at the top of the Acropolis. It did but only sporadically. Caused us way too much frustration. Not worth it!

Not As Advertised! Save Your Money! - I took the tour today. I arrived at the hotel Amalia at 9:00 because I did not want to be late for a tour that is scheduled at 9:30. To my dismay it didn't actually start until 9:50am. I was informed it officially starts at 9:45, not 9:30 ( the next 5 mins we spent waiting for other group members who never actually showed). The tour went as planned until we got close to Plaka. The guide stopped at the entrance and explained that the maze of streets that make up plaka were in the direction that she was pointing. When I asked if we would not be exploring Plaka, as outlined in the tour I formation given, she flatly told me no, Plaka is NOT a part of the tour! Even though, again the tour information clearly states that it is, and that we were welcome to check it out on our own, once the tour ends, wit that we were on our way to Acropolis, where the tou that started 20 mins after it's advertised time, ended promptly at 12:30 PM. The guide herself was very personable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but I had a terrible case of buyers remorse.
In a nutshell, you do not get a 3 hour tour and further you do not get to see all the places said to be included. Keep in mind, with the exception of Acropolis, which is an additional 20 euros for entry, you can visit all the places included in this tour, for free.

Tedious lacking value for money - Having done the bike tour the day before we were excited to see and learn more. It was suggested by another company that afternoons are quieter but this company only do morning tours . We met in the hotel no one was particularly friendly and we didn’t feel welcomed. Effy was our guide who spoke at length at various stops. Views expressed were her own seeking to put across a particular nationalistic or political view. It lacked humour and there was no connection. At times I felt bored. I would have liked to have learn more about the Acropolis than the gods!! For what we received ( we had to pay extra for Acropolis) this was expensive compared to bike tour that included bike and coffee stop.
