- Museum of Ancient Greek Technology Kotsanas - You will have the chance to explore the technological marvels of Ancient Greece in our “Make Your Own Calculating Mechanism in Antiquity Workshop.” From the “calculator” of Salamina to the “computer of Antikythera,” and with the guidance of the Museum’s expert staff, you will unravel the “mystery” of telecommunications in Ancient Greece and discover and operate the globally renowned Antikythera Mechanism.
Gift: Each participant will create their own functional part of the Antikythera Mechanism using metal and plexiglass, which can be used as a decorative piece in your favorite spot!
After the workshop, we will head to the Parliament (the Old Palace) to witness the changing of the Greek Presidential Guard (the famous Evzones). You will then be guided to the National Garden (next to the Parliament) to stroll through its maze-like paths, uncovering archaeological treasures hidden among the plants and sharing stories in the shade. Your tour concludes at Syntagma Square.

The tour will start from the Museum of Ancient Greek Technology Kostas Kotsanas. First, in one hour guided tour you will have the opportunity to experience the technological achievements of Ancient Greeks. Later on in our “Make Your Own Calculating mechanism in Antiquity Workshop”, and under the guidance of the Museum’s experts staff, you will solve the “mystery” of telecommunications in Ancient Greece.You will receive a gift. Gift: Everyone will build its own functional part of the Antikythera Mechanism from metal and plexi glass. After the end of the workshop we are moving towards the Parliament (the Old Palace) to observe the change of the Greek Presidential Guard (Evzones). You will then be guided to the National Garden (next to the Parliament) and walk in its maze-like paths. Our tour ends in Syntagma square the most important square in Modern Greece
