• Flisvos Marina - The Apostle’s ship docked at Faliro, which was the main port of Athens at the time. The port’s location is identified between the mouth of Kifissos and the small church of Agios Georgios, believed to be the site of the ancient Faliros wharf. The road to Athens began here, which Paul followed after disembarking. While awaiting Silas and Timothy from Macedonia, he explored the city, conversed with citizens in the synagogue and market, and was troubled by the abundance of idols. His teachings on Jesus’ death and resurrection intrigued some Epicurean and Stoic philosophers.
