Highlights
  • Acropolis - Meet your guide at the Acropolis metro station and start the tour with a visit to the Acropolis hill. On your way up, you will visit the Dionysus Theater, where all the famous ancient dramas and tragedies were first performed. You will walk around the stunning Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and the sanctuary of the healing god Asclepius. On the top of the hill you will visit the Propylea, the Temple of Nike, the Erechtheion Temple, and of course the Parthenon; the symbol of democracy and western civilization. Dating back to 5th century B.C, these monuments are testimonials of the glorious ancient Athens and the Golden Age of Pericles.
  • Acropolis Museum - Right after the Acropolis tour you will have the opportunity to visit the Acropolis Museum located just a few minutes walk from the Acropolis site. On the ground floor the exhibited artifacts reveal to you facets of the Athenian daily life; you get to know the wedding customs, the children’s favorite toys, the healing techniques, the religious practices. On the first floor, you will experience standing at a breathing distance from the mysterious archaic statues of the 6th century B.C that once adorned the Acropolis. Be fascinated by walking next to the Caryatids and huge pieces of the Acropolis entrance. At the last floor, next to the breathtaking view of the Acropolis, one can admire the original unique in concept and artistic excellence Parthenon frieze.
  • Parthenon - Walk to the Parthenon which was dedicated to the goddess Athena, the patroness of the city of Athens. Admire this 5th-century zenith of the Doric order architecture.
  • Theater of Dionysus - Breeze past the line and experience the thrill of seeing the Theater of Dionysus where many famous ancient comedies and tragedies were first performed.
  • Herod Atticus Odeon - Continue to the Roman Herodion theater which was built in memory of the wife of Herodes Atticus.
  • Propylaea - Climb up to the gateway of the Acropolis, the Propylaea.
  • Temple of Athena Nike - Take in views of the Temple of Athena Nike.
  • Erectheion - Finally, see the Erechtheion which is a unique masterpiece of architecture mainly due to its asymmetrical composition, and its supports include 6 sculpted female figures.

Tour Company Goes Above and Beyond! - A life’s dream fulfilled. Sometimes it’s not that the tour went fine as most of the time, the best you can do is just keep all the trains run on time and in the right direction. The true test of the best is when the unexpected happens, and how they deal with it. My traveling companion fell on the way into the Acropolis Museum. Constantina immediately called her office to send someone to help while she tended the rest of her flock of tourists. Tassos arrived and made sure we got attention we needed and even gave instructions to the cab driver to tell him which hospital she needed to take us. But it was more than that. He truly listened to us when we said we were free the next day and the company was able to allow us to join a tour the next day for what we missed - the Acropolis Museum! And even went beyond to meet us the next day at the museum. We joined Simon’s group the next day. Both Constantina and Simon were very knowledgeable. We felt we received very good information from both of them. Simon inserted more humor in his presentation. We enjoyed them both!

Incredible tour, refreshing guide - Our guide was very knowledgeable, kind, patient, and witty. It was clear she is passionate, about the acropolis about athens and it's history. Her love and pride for her city, shone through even as she acknowledged it's flaws. She navigated the crowds and the heat with absolute grace. The Parthenon speaks for itself, but I would not have experienced it as fully without our guides narrative. She really brought everything to life!

Not the best - I would love to give a 5 start review… but unfortunate I ended up with a headache from the headphone noise… the only way to stop it I was to be next to the girl but it was literally impossible because of how crowded it was it. She also pause to help a lady the got lost from her group( very rude of the woman demanding help) but she should go on and not stopping our group of 20 in the sun to help someone else but any way this was a long tour and not very enjoyable. If you don’t like to walk in the sun or walk a lot this is not for you.
