Such a great way to see the sites! - So convenient and easy way to get to know any new city you’re visiting. Because u can hop on and off it’s easy to spend more time at the locations you prefer. We made great use of the 72 hour pass which allowed us to go to all the historic sites as well take a trip along the coast to spend the day at the beach. Have used this tour in several cities around the world and would highly recommend.

Glad we did the 48hr pass - We decided to do the 48hr pass and do the Athens Red line one day and the Beach Riviera the next. It was absolutely worth it as it allowed us to plan 2 full days with the kids (teens). The Red line around Athens allowed us to hear the history and stop at various sites, while the beach line took a lovely route down the coast. We stopped in Glyfada for lunch and to visit the Turtle Rescue Centre.

Must do for first timers - Decent headphones and plenty of stops with a bus turning up every 15 minutes. The prices were the same whether you paid at starting point or paid in advance earlier for April. I would recommend buying on the spot because there are offers too, we had a free beer offer. The trip is 90 mins and usually held up in busy areas like the Monastiraki square where hoardes of pedestrians are on the roads. I would certainly recommend this if you are exploring Athens for the first time.

Great way to see Athens - Close to our hotel. Did the Athens Route. Took about 1.75 hours ton complete. Gave us lots of ideas of where to get off and on. Excellent way to get an overview. Traffic is big city traffic but our driver did great. Glad we came in April and not June-August. Comfortable temperatures and not huge crowds

Only need one day and Athens tour only - I love these hop on hop off tours as a way to orient to the city. I felt like the narration was not nearly as in depth as I experienced in Barcelona. It felt as if it spent as much time reminding me to keep my ticket and that they also offered tours in other countries as it did telling me about Greece. Also never was offered rbe advertised free beer.

Ok but not great - A trip on this bus is ok but there aren't many buses so they run infrequently. If you want to get on& off, there is a lot of waiting about and time wasting.

Disappointing tour and service - We took the bus from the Cruise port on the Piraeus route and had to change onto the Athens line at the Acropolis. The first part was nice along the coast but the commentary was totally out of wack, then a change of bus after a boring journey from the coast to the acropolis. Athens is graffiti covered and dusty / dirty and is clogged with traffic making the journey slow. Again the commentary was not always relevant to where we were and you cover the same area twice to get around. The main problem we had was that we were told the tour was a circle back to the acropolis but half way around we had to change busses and sat looking at nothing for about 20 minutes. We just missed the bus back to the port from the acropolis and had to wait for over an hour for the next one, we would have had plenty of time to catch the bus if we hadn't wasted 20 minutes going nowhere. Again they tried to make something of the journey back to the port but there really wasn't much to see.
