Exactly what we hoped for. Authentic food and great host. - Had an amazing tour. Sophia (Sofia?) was a great host, and provided the experience we were expecting. Authentic, greek establishments with legitamate food off the path of all the popular tourist places. We learned a lot about the history of the food and the city and where to explore the following day. Had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.

Fun and flavor - We had the most delightful tour with Christina, who is an amazing guide. She introduced us to many Greek specialties with an insider’s knowledge of where to go while talking about life in Athens. Loved watching the guy making homemade phyllo dough, though enjoyed sampling the custard filled pastries and savory spinach and cheese pies even more. Exploring the Central Market was quite an experience, as we sampled different kinds of olives and feasted our eyes on all sorts of produce, meats and fish. We enjoyed a charcuterie board of sausages, cheeses drizzled with honey, and dried fruits and nuts. Can’t believe we still had room for a yummy lunch of gyros, which she showed us how to assemble. We finished up with a demonstration and sampling of Greek coffee and cherries. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, highly recommend it, and look forward to future tours with this group.

Amazing food and guide - This tour was so good! Zoe was our guide and she was so sweet and knowledgable. We got a ton of traditional Greek food (seriously, come hungry) and she explained a lot about the importance of the food to Greek history and culture. She even led us to a honey and olive oil store where we could buy some yummy souvenirs! It was fun to walk through neighborhoods we wouldn't have known about otherwise and to go to shops we wouldn't have looked twice at. Zoe and Eating Europe took all the guesswork out and made our stay in Athens so fun. Thank you, Zoe!
