- Change of Guards - After meeting with our tour leader, you’ll begin today’s tour by visiting the Greek Parliament to witness the renowned changing of the guards. This ceremony, performed by the Greek “Evzones” soldiers, is dedicated to the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.” Our host will explain the symbolism of the ceremony and provide all details about the Greek Parliament building.
- Plaka - Stroll through the famous “Plaka area” and pass by the renowned “Metropolitan Cathedral” of Athens. We’ll make a brief stop at the oldest house in Athens, which is well-preserved and perfect for photos.
- Stoa of Attalos - Our next steps will take us to the “Stoa of Attalos,” located at the north entrance of the Ancient Agora of Athens. This beautiful and well-restored building was once the gathering point of ancient Athens and now operates as the museum of the Ancient Agora. The building and its surroundings are well-illuminated, offering great night photo opportunities while our guide explains the historical background.
- Anafiotika - Explore the picturesque narrow streets of Anafiotika, the oldest neighborhood in Athens, which brings a Cycladic Islands’ essence to the heart of the city.
- Acropolis - The Acropolis is a must-see on this tour. It’s the highlight of illuminated Athens! While walking around the Ancient Agora, our guide will lead you uphill to a great spot for viewing the Acropolis at night and the illuminated Parthenon. Get your cameras ready for some of the best photos!
- We do not enter the Acropolis archaeological site or any other archaeological site mentioned in the tour description. Instead, we walk by these sites, with our tour guide providing explanations.
- Ancient Agora of Athens - The area of the ancient forums or Ancient Agora covers the southwest foothills of the Acropolis. We’ll walk around the area and take great photos while our guide explains the true significance of the Ancient Agora in people’s lives and its role in strengthening Athenian democracy.
- Temple of Hephaestus - Just before dinner, there’s another great photo spot here! The best-preserved temple in Greece, this monument is dedicated to the God of Fire, and the surrounding lights highlight the fine lines of its architecture.
- Thiseio - It’s time for a break! Our route will bring us to the area of Thiseio, where we’ll visit a traditional Greek taverna. You’ll have the opportunity to dine like the ancient Greeks, enjoying traditional food, drinks, and, most importantly, engaging in conversation and getting to know each other. This is what the ancient Greeks called a “Symposium.”

1st night in Athens was amazing! - We arrived in Athens early before our cruise today (Aug 4th) and thought we’d take an evening walking tour with dinner in let me tell you it didn’t disappoint!
Our tour guide Danae was superb 🙌❤️ super knowledgeable and a delight to be around!
Highly recommended if you have time.

Revising the name of tour - 10K steps & then FABULOUS dinner!!! - Tour guide, Duane (don't remember her exact name but she was AMAZING). Meeting point was great, the only thing I would recommend is maybe a flag w/the company logo because the spot where we met was very busy. Tour guide was knowledge & pleasant but after the second hour, I must say, we were exhausted and ready to seat & eat. Once we did, the restaurant was amazing & the food was authentic Greek food - absolutely delicious!!!

Wonderful walking tour with dinner in Athens - Danai was an amazing hostess. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Athens and took us through the city to places we never could have explored in our own. Dinner was absolutely delicious and her recommendations on what to try made it even more memorable.
The tour does require quite a bit of walking up and down stairs. So be prepared for that. Danai made sure we knew the best ways to manage them and never rushed us (some in our party needed a bit more time).
10/10 all around. The Tory at night was great because it’s quite hot in July!
Definitely a tour you should book!

Highly recommend! - Katarina was the most pure and gentle soul. Highly recommend! She provided so much knowledge about the city, and we saw so many places that gave us ideas on what to do for the rest of our trip. The dinner afterwards, and the walk home was absolutely spectacular!

Great Tour: Athens at Night Small-Group Walking Tour with Dinner - Great tour. It gave us an overview of Athens. Our guide, Dani ( I've probably misspelled her name) was amazing with many details on Athens. She also made sure we know how to get back to our hotel at the end.

Loving Athens and Greek Food - Our tour guide, Katerina, was wonderful. She provided great details and insights on all the wonderful sites we toured. Katerina also took us to a great restaurant, made perfect suggestions and made sure we were well positioned to make it back to our AirBnB

Fabulous Evening! - Georgia was a great guide. She took us to some fabulous spots and we got to see some of Athens that we never would have explored on our own. Dinner was also excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Wonderful time - Katarina was our tour guide and she was absolutely a delight. She shared lots of Greek traditions and facts. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour as well as the delish dinner provided!

Good food but the tour part is not worth the time. - The tour was just OK. The leader took us to changing if the guard which was interesting. At other times we walked through dirty alleys with nothing to see. The dinner food was good and in large amounts. Overall this tour was not worth the price.
