Great Walking and Food Tour - While you should certainly explore the historical sights of Athens, if you have time, you should take this tour. It is just a quick 2 metro stop ride from Syntagma that brings you to an area where there are few tourists. Our guide, Eva, who was wonderful , took us on a walking tour of an area where you will find hidden night clubs, after hours clubs , open air cinemas , lots of graffiti and mural and some amazing food . You will see locals dining with friends under a tree, having drinks with friends and families with little kids enjoying a local park. We made several food stops, with different food to enjoy at each stop. Amazing pies with phyllo pastry, souvlaki unlike what you will find in the tourist areas and some local dishes that are not served at the restaurants in the central tourist area. And some very locally brewed Athenian beer. This tour will expose you to the "real" Athens , being enjoyed by locals. The area was relatively quiet when we started our tour, but was starting to come alive at the end of the tour, as tons of people were streaming out of the metro stop. We were fortunate, as they had a last minute cancellation , so it was just the two of us and our guide , Eva. Eva was charming and very easy to talk to, sharing bits about the local area and about her very interesting life. It was like taking a nice walk and enjoying some food with a friend. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get a glimpse into the life of Athens, as the city is more than monuments and the Acropolis.

What a tour!! - Highly recommend!! My 2 friends & I ended up being the only people on this walking food/culture tour on one of the hottest days in Athens! Our guide, Eva, was personable, professional & extremely knowledgeable re the neighborhoods, street art, architecture & food/drink that we experienced. She set the pace at a nice, slow stroll so we wouldn’t get too hot & we enjoyed everything that we saw & tasted.(Especially ending with an icy cold ouzo!) This tour was definitely worth the $$ and Eva is an excellent guide that is very passionate about her city, its culture & people. 10 out of 10 stars! Brava

Unforgettable - We arrived at Kerameikos station a little late as our booked taxi had had an accident( before he got to us and he was ok!). Our delightful guide Eva waited for us and our little group set off. What an amazing experience to walk through areas of Athens tourists do not see. Eva was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Greece. The history, food and information was enthralling and I cannot recommend the tour and Eva highly enough.

Great mix of food and culture - So much fun! A great way to be able to explore parts of Athens where tourists don't often go while being able to have delicious food along the way. Fotis was an awesome guide and made us feel very comfortable on the tour, also giving us great explanations of food and graffiti and other aspects of history/culture. Definitely recommend!

Authentic food. Authentic neighborhood. Don't miss this tour. - It was an evening with lots of fun on this tour. The tour guide was fantastic and fun, taking the group on a walk in a real neighborhood, sharing information on local life and food. The food was excellent. It was the best food I've had in 2 weeks in Greece. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in knowing local life, having good food, and getting out of the tourist areas.

Fun and good food - Loved hanging out with a diverse small group and tasting some really good food! We did the tour on our last night in Athens and it was a perfect ending to our vacation. Our guide, (Elefina?) was warm and interesting. We loved walking through areas we might have shied away from.
