- We are doing our tours only to small groups with a maximum capacity of 10 people. Minimum 2 pax are required for the tour to be conducted.
- Some of the markets and vendors that we visit close after lunchtime, so the walk can only occur in the morning
- Please advise in advance if vegetarian options are required. The tour is vegetarian-friendly as vegetarians have options in every spot. However, there are limited choices for other dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or dairy-free. Severe allergies cannot, unfortunately, be catered for on this tour.
- There will be plenty of food on the tour, so you only need a light breakfast
- In an effort to ensure that you will avoid any kind of discomfort and most importantly that you will feel comfortable, our guides may change order of the sites you may visit.

Fantastic tour with a new friend - One of the best tours we have ever had. Tassos was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and made us feel very welcomed in his favorite city and country. He showed us the best spots in the city and it was great eating like a local. At the end of the tour, it was as if we were just hanging out with our friend. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone.

The best food tour of a city I’ve ever done - I can’t thank Tassos enough for the wonderful tour he created for us. Not only did we eat great food we learned so much about Athens and Greece. Tassos was so accommodating and entertaining. We laughed together at his jokes and the fact that EVERYTHING can be traced back to Greek origin, such as Starbucks coffee was started by Mr Starbuckopolous who decided to take his coffee to the USA. And that he was friends with Mr Cococolopolus who invented Coca Cola. lol 😂 It was like talking with the father from ‘My big fat Greek wedding’
A 3.5 hour tour went on for over 5 hours because we all were enjoying each other’s company and friendship.
Great food, informative conversation and Tassos made us feel like family.
Highly recommended. But if you can get Tassos as your guide, even better.

Fun Athens Experience - Had a great time! Our guide Tassos obviously loves what he does. The food choices showed a variety of Athens/ Greek food and drink, including the best souvlaki I’ve ever had. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend! - Wonderful tour with an amazing guide! We had many traditional tastings including pastry pies, meats, olives, coffee & gyros. Also a trip through the fresh produce & meat markets. Our guide went out of his way to connect with us and provide local history and recommendations for other activities during our stay in Athens. Absolutely fantastic!

Authentically Athens, not just a food tour. - Tassos was great! Knowledgeable, friendly and fun! We got a complete feel for the city through food, history and places we would not have found ourselves in just a days time. I can honestly say we experienced Athens authentically because of Tassos. Best tour ever! - The tour was excellent. We got so much side information, which makes you connect more to Athens and Greece. Tassos was very open and chatty. We were walking along and through many places and eyerywhere he knew a story to tell.
It was great fun and time was passing by so quickly even though we overran the schedule.

Cannot recommend enough. Amazing. - To say we loved it is an understatement. Touring with Tassos felt like visiting an old friend. He's knowledgable, personable, and showed us all the hidden gems tucked away while other tourists waited in long lines for other mediocre options. Tassos has the best stories, is hilarious, and is just a really nice guy. I'd recommend this tour to my friends, parents, big groups, small groups-- anyone. Cannot endorse enough.

Athens + food + tour guide = a great morning - Our "small tour" with just my wife and I was great. Tassos Tsikontouris was a great guide and storyteller, the food was great (although I'm still not a fan of Greek/Turkish coffee, or any other coffee for that matter), and the city did not disappoint. (Sorry it took so long to submit the review, it completely slipped my mind until I found Tassos' business card in my luggage.)
