- Temple of Artemis - The temple of Artemis (Diana) offers stunning scenery and a beautiful museum. The sanctuary of Artemis at Brauron/Vravron is an ancient sacred site on the eastern coast of Attica near the Aegean Sea, situated in a small inlet. The Archaeological Museum of Brauron/Vravron, located around a small hill 330 meters to the ESE, houses an extensive and significant collection of finds from the site throughout its period of use. The same ticket as the museum applies.
- Ancient Theater of Thorikos - Built around 525 BC, the Ancient Theater of Thorikos is the oldest known theater in the world but is almost forgotten. It is a short drive from the more famous Temple of Poseidon in Cape Sounion. Without guards or fences, you can freely walk into this site and imagine the performances that once took place here, with the Aegean Sea in the background.
- Lavrio - Lavrio is a town in the southeastern part of Attica, part of the Athens metropolitan area, and the seat of the municipality of Lavreotiki. In Classical antiquity, Lavrio was famous for its silver mines, which were a major source of revenue for the Athenian state. The silver was primarily used for coinage. The Archaeological Museum of Lavrion tells much of the story of these mines (visit optional). Our visit to this beautiful harbor includes time for lunch or dinner.
- Sounio Beach - This small, quiet beach offers great views and crystal-clear water. It is safe for swimming and has a small cafe/shop. Bring your own supplies. It gets crowded in July and August.
