Highlights
  • Acropolis - Acropolis is an archaeological wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the most instantly recognizable landmarks of Athens. Skip the long lines and see the ancient Greek temple of Parthenon which is dedicated to Athena, the goddess of war as well as Propylae, the temple of Athena Nike, Erecheion and Herodes Atticus from the top.
  • Ancient Agora of Athens - Continue to the Ancient Agora that lies on the north-western slopes of the Acropolis. It was the meeting and gathering place and the city’s artistic, spiritual, and commercial centre. Most Ancient Greek cities had such a place and the Ancient Agora in Athens is the best example to explore.
  • Roman Agora - Just north of the Acropolis, explore the site of the Roman Agora, which was once the focus of public life in Athens, where merchants sold their stock, whilst orators and philosophers walked around, engaging in lively discussions.
  • Hadrian’s Library - Your ticket also offers you access to the most prominent structure, the well-known Hadrian’s Library, built to impress in marble with high walls. It was much more than a library, as it was used as the city’s civic centre.
  • Temple of Olympian Zeus - The Temple of Olympian Zeus, one of the most famous archaeological sites in Athens, has been a ruin almost since it was built. Construction began in the 6th century BC., set out to build the greatest temple in the world, but it was not actually finished until about the 2nd century AD. by the Roman emperor Hadrian.
  • Keramikos Archaeological Site - Your ticket also offers you access to Kerameikos, the ancient cemetery that stretches to the banks of the Eridanos River. It was given the name “kerameikos” meaning “ceramics” because it was built on the site where pottery workshops had stood. It is definitely one of the most important archaeological sites in the city.
  • Aristotle’s Lyceum - The nearby Lyceum became famous when it became the Peripatetic School of Philosophy, founded by Aristotle, who liked to walk amongst the trees surrounding the school whilst he was discussing philosophy with his students.

Excellent experience - Had a great time visiting the sites. Most of them were crowded but still had a very nice time. Acropolis had long lines but we had pre purchase tickets so made it little easier.

Once in a lifetime experience - This was an amazing experience! Our tour operator made it very easy by sending us our tickets to the Acropolis. Seeing this archeological site in person was a once in a lifetime experience.

Must-have Ticket - Very useful ticket, very easy to use - it looks like most people accessing the sites had the same one. You receive the actual ticket 24 hours before your booking, so you may have already traveled to Athens by the time you get them. The sites are all incredibly interesting - the Acropolis and the Agora especially.

Nice trip - Acropolis was brilliant, but dont walk whilst listening to the tour as it stops and moves onto the next stop. It has a written account as well so I was able to go back and read the bits I missed. We didnt get the chance to do all stops because some were closed due to strikes. A map would be handy to see where each site is and a map of the inside of each site as I feel I missed bits. Otherwise happy with this.

Disappointed with app not working - We were very happy to have the tickets for early entrance to the Acropolis. Unfortunately, all of us had downloaded the program for the Acropolis and several did not work. I started sharing with my husband wireless headphones, and then his program stopped working for him . Very disappointing. Good thing I had Rick Steves as a back up.

Don't expect the same time you purchased - We were disappointed to find that when we got to the Acropolis the tickets we received were for an hour later than what we had purchased, which when it's that hot out really makes a difference. Also it was difficult to find the tickets. They said they would be emailed, but they did not land in my email. Instead you need to go to the viator app and when I went to send a message to the vendor I saw the tickets there. This was not clearly explained and led to a bit of stress.

Very disappointed in Acropolis Customer Service - I booked this package for our one-day cruise stop in Athens. It was far too ambitious to think we would do all of it and in reality we only did the Acropolis meaning the package was a complete waste. What was worse is that we didn’t realize we had to arrive at the Acropolis at the scheduled time. We were one hour late and therefore the tickets were invalid and we needed to repurchase entrance tickets for a later time ($100). So basically, for >$300 for this package for 4 of us we didn’t use any of the tickets. The Viator customer service team was also not helpful in providing any kind of reimbursement or refund for this wasted package.
