Perfect tour and perfect guide - The tour was a perfect way to get illustrated into a very relevant period of history for Greeks and for the whole western civilization. Our guide Alex was very friendly and supportive. He gave us deep and interesting explanations connecting all the aspects of Delphi (religion, social, cultural, even sports). The stop in Arachova was a perfect end for the journey, making this tour unique compare to others.

Nice Day Trip to Delphi - This is a great day trip from Athens. If you wanted a break from the city atmosphere, the mountains where Delphi is located are stunning; the landscape is what sets apart this grouping of ruins from any other we saw in Greece. The tour itself started in the museum, and our guide really came alive when discussing the art and artifacts found in Delphi. The ruins themselves were cool, too. Overall, this was a relaxed day in a beautiful setting (but hot! Oh my gosh August is hot in Greece) steeped in mythology and history. This tour would have been 5 stars for me if the lunch option we had prepaid for was good. The food wasn't bad, but it was definitely not of the caliber we had the rest of our trip. If we had just skipped the lunch option and then done it on our own in the little ski town we stopped at, we would have been happier. To be fair, the half of the group that went with us to lunch did not seem disappointed and I didn't speak to the other half that went off and did lunch on their own so who knows how they felt. Another thing to note about this tour is that it is a 3 hour bus ride from Athens so you're in the bus for 6 hours total. It wasn't a big deal to us and was worth the effort. Our guide was great and spent some of that time explaining the history of Athens and Delphi and telling us fun stories about Apollo and other Greek gods.

Delphi Tour - Nice trip out of the city. Bus was very comfortable. Guide was knowledgeable and easy to listen to. It’s a long way to travel for a relatively short time at the Delphi site but still worth it and we were able to see everything. Also the quedes museum tour is very helpful for better understanding the overall history of the site. The lunch in Arachova was very good. Wish we had a little more time there but as it was we did t get back to the city until 6:30 so all in all very efficient and worthwhile tour.

Different part of Greece - Having seen ruins at Ephesus, Phillipi and other spots we were kind of on ruin overload. Arachova was a delightful town and was glad to see it and the surrounding countryside as a contrast to Athens. The whispers weren’t working which was a big negative for us. Would advise checking them before conducting a tour.
