Highlights
  • Acropolis - One of the world’s most renowned ancient archaeological sites, the Acropolis was constructed during the Bronze Age, between 2200 and 1200 BC, standing 500 feet above sea level on the Attica Plateau. Offering stunning views, the Acropolis has served as a residence for kings, a fortress, a mythical abode of the gods, and a religious hub since prehistoric times. It has endured significant attacks, massive earthquakes, and more over the centuries. A modern marvel, it is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses the Parthenon, its star attraction and centerpiece. Completed in the 5th century BC, the Parthenon is considered the pinnacle of Doric architecture. Other temples on the Acropolis include those dedicated to Athena and Athena Nike, all showcasing the splendor of ancient Athens.
  • Acropolis Museum - The Acropolis Museum is situated over ruins from Roman and early Byzantine Athens. It is home to significant historical artifacts discovered on the rock and surrounding slopes of the Acropolis.
  • Temple of Olympian Zeus - The iconic Temple of Olympian Zeus is a sanctuary located in the bustling city center. Named after Zeus, the chief of the Olympian gods, it took nearly 700 years to complete and is a prime example of Corinthian order architecture.
  • Changing of the Guard Ceremony - The Changing of the Guard Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
  • Plaka - Plaka and the local market at the base of the Acropolis can be explored by strolling along charming cobblestone streets lined with small shops, sidewalk cafes, and the ancient Themistoclean Wall.
  • Ancient Agora of Athens - The ancient Agora of Athens, also known as the Classical Agora, is the most well-known example of an ancient Greek agora. Initially, the Agora was used as a commercial, assembly, or residential gathering place.
  • Panathenaic Stadium - The Panathenaic Stadium is the only stadium in the world originally constructed entirely of marble and was the host of the first modern Olympics.
  • Lycabettus Hill - Lycabettus Hill, the highest point in Athens, offers the most breathtaking views of the city.
  • National Library of Greece - The National Library of Greece, with its Pentelic marble, Doric columns, Renaissance-style twin staircase, and statues, is part of a three-building complex known as the Athenian Trilogy, which includes the National Library, Academy, and University of Athens.

Excellent and So Worth It - Michael was an excellent host for this tour. He was on time and met us in the lobby. He was informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were very comfortable and felt extremely welcomed. Upon booking with Viator we felt a little insecure and did not know what to expect but with the professionalism of the tour guide, we would not hesitate to book again with this company.

Best tour - What a great experience to use Dynamis Transportation to show my friends the beauty and majesty of Athens! Our driver Petros took great care of us with his kindness and amazing car and our tour guide explained all the history to everyone in great detail. The views from the Acropolis and Lacavettos were amazing. We ended the day at a recommended restaurant from our driver in Psyrri. Can't wait to go back
