Our culinary session will dive into the crafting of classic Greek meals such as Moussaka and Spanakopita pie by unfolding your phyllo pastry (Spinach pie). We’ll also be making two traditional pies: a Spinach pie and Milk pie. Beyond pies, we’ll assemble a Greek island-style salad with cherry tomatoes tinged with aged local vinegar and Greek yogurt tzatziki sauce. Our cooking space is just a short walk from Monastiraki square, in the eclectic Psirri district. I’ll meet you there, on the rooftop terrace offering a view of the Acropolis. We’ll begin by preparing ingredients, having a conversation to ease into the atmosphere and discussing Greek and Mediterranean culinary arts; afterward, I’ll introduce you to the ingredients we’ll be using. Once that’s done, we can dive into the cooking class! After we’re done, we’ll cook, dine, and appreciate the food we’ve made together, all against the beautiful backdrop of the Acropolis monuments and the Parthenon temple illuminated at night, with the bustling heart of Athens and the dome of Aghios Dimitrios church in sight. Unfortunately, we do not offer gluten-free options. However, vegetarians are warmly welcomed!
