Best day tour trip to Meteora from Athens - We are really happy with the tour, everything arranged smoothly & on time. We had a great time in Meteora with Klemens, our tour guide. He explained very well a lot of interesting informations, educational and delivered in funny way. He is very professional and helpful, I really recommended him if you take this trip. Meteora itself is very beautiful view, breathtaking! Visited the monasteries while learning the history and enjoying the view is one of our highlights during our trip to Greece.

Long day but well worth the time. Stunning views inside and out. - Absolutely stunning views both inside and out. It was incredible to see the monasteries and imagine how they were built so long ago. Guides were very knowledgeable about the both history and current information regarding the monasteries and hermits. The timing of the buildings was very well choreographed as well. It was quite a bit of walking and multiple steps so make sure you are in relatively good shape if you plan on seeing inside the monasteries. It was also a very long day, so plan accordingly.

Unforgettable Meteora - Meteora...one word, but such a powerful meaning. Yes, when you see all the posts and photos you just have to visit the place...but only when you get on the spot you can truly understand the power of it. Incredible Greek herritage, full of grace, respect, loyalty and pride. You can feel all that and more when you take just one look at it. And the scenery, the museums full of historical items and belongings, the churchs inside with holy places will leave you speachless. But to trully know all about its history I kindly suggest to have a tour guide. And believe me, the story behind the Meteora is remarkable. We visited Meteora on 18. August 2024...yes, yesterday from Athens with Meteora Thrones Local Agency... a one day bus tour booked via Booking. Our tour guide presented herself as Maria. Lovely young girl with beautiful smile, kind presence and fluent English immediatelly reached our attention for listening to her. But not only because of her looks it was the way how she presented the Meteora. We were told the unforgettable historical story with such pasion, love and respect that we could imagine ourselfs beeing there in the past. We could see the men climbing and putting scarfs on the shelf of the rock, we could picture the battles for freedom during the occupation and world war, imagine the building of the Monastieres and feel the pain, struggle, hope, success, glory and more of the inhabitants. And even now, no matter that only monks and the nuns live inside, the Meteora will take your breath away with its past and you will leave it with huge respect and allready planning the next visit. We certanly are. So thank you Meteora and Maria for the unforgettable story and feelings. We will meet again.

Just Amazing - The Best Tour we have ever done. Amazing views and unbelievable scenery. Clements the tour guide was the best with all the information we needed to know. He was so easy to talk with and you could tell he was in Love with the monastery’s and the hills they were all built on. Took a lot of steps to get to them but SO worth it. Would recommend every one do it.

The monasteries are an indispensable place to visit for visitors to Greece - It was a pity not to have a Guide to accompany the tour from Athens. This is the only reason I do not rate excursion with maximum score.

Disappointing Experience with Meteora Thrones: Overcharges and Poor Service - Review for Meteora Thrones - Travel Center ★☆☆☆☆ As a frequent world traveler and part of an international travel recommendation group, I was excited to explore Meteora based on a group member's suggestion and decided to book a tour with Meteora Thrones. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to disappointment. I was overcharged by €20 per person (€40 total for two), paying €72 instead of the advertised €52, despite the website’s promise of a "price guarantee" and "best price match." I tried addressing this issue through WhatsApp and in-person, only to be dismissed with a "too bad, your loss." Furthermore, the tour conditions were subpar: the bus was uncomfortably hot with broken air conditioning and a locked bathroom. We were also taken on an unnecessary hour-long detour to a rest area, seemingly so the company could earn commission, which was not in the interest of the guests. The tour also failed to include promised sights, like a visit to a cave. While our guide, Stacie, was professional and sympathetic, she was unable to resolve these issues due to her position, and the management’s response was dismissive. I have requested: A refund of the €40 overcharge. A formal apology for the poor service. An improvement in communication and service as advertised. Accurate tour descriptions on their website. Travelers looking for a reliable and comfortable tour experience in Meteora might consider looking elsewhere. you must visit Meteora but with different tour company.
