Meteora is a group of six monasteries built on natural sandstone rock pillars in central Greece. The site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece. The monasteries were built from the 11th to the 20th century and are situated close to each other. In 1999, they were declared as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO due to their universal cultural importance. - Meteora - Now you have plenty of time to explore Meteora!
