Our tour at the beautiful Archeological Museum of Athens. - We came here with my brother and my girlfriend in july. We're under 25 so it was a free tour and to be honest I would have paid for the tickets anyway. The place is very well composed and has many different themed parts. One of the best museums that I've ever been to. We had limited time, so i could only spend 3 hours here. If you want to see and read everything and get absorbed in the atmosphere you need 4-5 hours. The staff were really friendly, they even let us in and out (because my brother wanted to buy some books nearby). So it really is an essential part of the "Athens experience" I highly recommend you try it out. Keep in mind that it may be a little too much for families with children. : )

Cool history spot - Lots of interesting history for a few hours in a cool (temperature wise) setting. It was nice to get out of the heat of Athens for a few hours. Very interesting and good audio tour.

Great peek into Ancient Greece in a couple of hours. - Purchase a ticket with the audio guide for a richer experience. We visited on a Friday morning and so did many other local school children on field trips! Be sure to visit the highlighted sculptures from the tour. I especially loved the Mycenae jewelry collections!

Lots of inventory and rich in history but missing an overview - It was fantastic to see all the artifacts and learn the historical age (amazing) but we were missing an overview. Since most of us took some form of Greek history in school, we felt we still needed a refresher to put the story of leaders/ages together. If you purchase tickets online and show your pass to enter, you jump the line which is great, but are whisked into the museum with very little if no orientation. Happy to use a QR code to access a website or app, but nothing was offered. We searched for the website and a map and found one but still felt the organization of objects was random. The website has a virtual tour – great – but still needs that timeline.

Good enough experience with minor comments. - Rate 3. One reason is that some areas of museum was isolated without notice. Another reason is the guide programe is not updated well. Some room numbers and exhibited items are not matched or missing.

Request a refund museum would not accept your so-called voucher that would not print anyway - The ticket or voucher would not print. The museum would not accept your voucher even though I showed them the receipt. I had to pay separate to enter. I’m requesting a refund.

They need physical tickets - Arriving at the museum the download for the tickets would not work. It gave an Error message. We had to pay admission to the museum despite already paying Viator. Now I cannot get my refund.

Not worth the money - Ticket by the door entrance cost 6€. Here you sell it more expensive. Not worth buying in advance and over paying!! By straight away there. Cheaper
