Thought provoking and fun - HIGHLY recommend this tour! The tour guide was interesting, easygoing, and a wealth of knowledge. He has a fun way of describing/showing what it was really like to be an Athens citizen in ancient times while guiding you through the city's must see sites.

Highly recommended - It was a very nice guided tour of Ancient Greece with an in-depth focus on the evolution from myths to philosophy and the growth of democracy. Even though our world can be understood through natural laws and mathematical patterns: keep wondering, always! Pur guide Pano embodies this entirely. Any question will be answered with knowledge and an invitation to amazement. If you're interested in this part of the ancient Greek history and how it's still very relevant and alive in today's world... Take the tour! You'll love it

The first stop for anyone interested in Athens’ history - This tour was fantastic. Panos is extremely knowledgeable and explains things in a very interesting and thought provoking way. He tailored the tour according to what we were interested in and honestly I could find no fault. Do yourself a favour book this tour as the first thing you do when you come to Athens, if you are truly interested in its history. From here you can choose if you wish to delve deeper into a particular site, and visit it specifically for a deep dive.

Thought Provoking, Relatable and Very Enjoyable - Panos’ walking tour combines the historical sites with stories, humor and thought provoking explanations that chronicles how the field of philosophy developed the idea of Democracy in ancient Athens. We concluded with a very engaging discussion on some of the major philosophers’ ideas and inventions and how they resonate in today’s science and society. I highly recommend this tour!

Best walking tour ever - I have joined many walking tours, but Panos’s democracy and philosophy tour is the best one I have experienced so far. He presents historical anecdotes in a very engaging way. He is not a conventional tour guide who merely explains facts and events at a surface level; he is incredibly knowledgeable, delving into philosophical concepts not only from ancient philosophy but also from other domains such as biology (e.g., natural creatures having innate needs for equality—do all values follow a template?) and quantum physics (e.g., the quantum yin-yang) and so many more things. It was such a thought-provoking experience, and I had the best discussion I’ve had in recent months.

Philosophy and Democracy Tour of Athens. - Perfect complement to our other tour of the Parthenon and Acropolis. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we concluded the tour with a provocative sit down discussion about Greek philosophy and incredible ideas/inventions by the ancient Greeks.

Outstanding Experience - Highly recommend this tour! It offers great context of the burgeoning philosophical thought of 2,500 years ago alongside the actual locations. Panos is a learned philosopher and truly passionate about how the conversations of the ancient Agora changed human thought and understanding.

Great to learn about Greek culture - Amazing tour ! Panos was a great tour guide. He knew so many things about history, philosophy and even science. His explanations were very clear and so interesting. We started by waking through the center of the city and he explained things about the agora, keramikos, the library of Hadrian, pnyca. We then sat and he continued his explanation about different Greek philosophers, mathematicians, … where we had a discussion. It was a very complete tour. Great for general culture. Thank you Panos !
