Additional Information
Embark on a concise tour of Athens that includes the city’s most celebrated ancient and contemporary attractions. Witness the Guard Changing ritual at the monument of the Unseen Soldier located before the Parliament House. The guards’ uniform was designed by King Otto of Greece, inspired by the attire of rebel mountains, warriors and robbers who stood up against the Ottomans. Our journey will take us to the iconic “trilogy,” three buildings architected by Theophil and Christian Hansen from Denmark: Athens’ Academy, Athens’ University, and the National Library. Stylishly neoclassical, these constructions embody the aspirations of the nascent Greek nation. We will also stop by the first modern Olympic Games’ locale held in 1896 and other contemporary highlights. Among these revered sites, we explore Hadrian’s Arch, a remarkable Roman monument in honor of Athens founders, Theseus and Hadrian. To wrap up the tour, we relish an impressive view of the Acropolis and the entire city from the peak of Lycabettus Hill.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- You must be able to walk on unpaved or uneven terrain; otherwise the driver will do their best for you to see most of the sites
- Departure time is between 7:30am-17:30pm, based on your preference!

Best mini tour of Athens! - This was the perfect tour to see some highlights of the history of Athens. Panos was our driver/tour guide and we couldn’t have asked for a more informative and friendly person! Panos is THE BEST! Highly recommend this tour.

Most efficient way to get the most of Athens! - We wouldn’t have been able to replicate this tour on our own as efficiently and effectively as we were able to on this tour. Sophia was very knowledgeable and we appreciated the comfort of the air-conditionined luxury van. We appreciated the tour so much!

Long layover tour. So much fun! - Manolis our driver is so kind, patient, professional, and eager to share what he knows of the city. Arranging the tour was easy via WhatsApp the day prior; we had flown into Athens from Santorini with a long layover. With our luggage checked through to our destination, airport pickup and drop off was simple. We only had our carry-ons, and Manolis kept them secure for us while we toured many iconic sites - Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, Parliament/Changing of the Guards, Olympic Stadium, and dinner/shopping in Plaka. Highly recommended! Thank you Manolis!

Don't hesistate to book with CATTaxi ! - We had such a wonderful tour with Terry. He was a terrific driver and guide, taking us all around Athens showing us not only the well-known places, but also some hidden gems along the way that we definitely would not have seen without Terry's guidance. He asked my children (11 & 13.5) about their interests and took us somewhere the tour doesn't usually go, to accomodate their interests. It was such a great introduction to Athens. We would not hesistate to book CAT Taxi again for any touring or transport needs.

Cattaxi is the best ! Book now ! - I recommend Terry and his colleagues 1000%!! We met Terry 4 years ago and this summer we came back to Athens for a day before venturing out to the Greek islands. Terry felt like a member of our family and took care of us as if we are friends. We only had a day so wanted to cram as much in as possible and Terry made sure of it ! Terry even remembered which stores we went to 4 years ago to buy sandals and brought us to the same store this time so we can stock up on some high quality Greek merchandise. Highly recommend. See you again hopefully Terry!

Best way to see Athens!! - Notis was an amazing driver and guide, he gave us a very good tour and it certainly helped to have a clean Audi to get around town. we ended up extending our mini tour for 3 extra hours and enjoy some of the local food & coffee. A must do in Athens!!

You can't go wrong with CATTaxi! Dimitris, you were great! - Prompt. Professional. Honest. Helpful. Dimitris Sakkis of CATTaxi is all of this and more! Dimitris served as our driver for our week in Greece - whenever we wanted to go somewhere we would just message Dimitris and he would meet us wherever we were in the city and promptly take us to our destination. He's very friendly, informative, and truly has a kind heart. He made such a huge difference in our time in Greece. You will not be disappointed with CATTaxi at all - truly exceptional!

Best taxi service in Athens!!! - We have been using Cattaxi service each time we come to Athens, for the last 5 years. Terry is an amazing guide and adviser to optimize your commute and trip. 2,500 years overview in a day - We had booked a mini day tour of Athens with Terry Drakakis from Cat Taxi, Athens on the recommendation of a close Aussie/Greek friend who books him on their visits to Athens. Wow what a mini tour we had . Terry made the wonderful ancient history so understandable and enjoyable. He is a very knowledgable, interesting and likeable guide, who is himself a fluent English speaker with a very good understanding of how to organise timing, from pick up to how best to avoid the lines, and how long to spend at each ancient site. Bottles of cool water appear, his vehicle is spotless and air conditioned and always waiting at the exact place at the arranged time - never once were we wasting time. We enjoyed his sense of style and sense of humour and great knowledge we immediately booked him for our drop off to the port for our Ferry to Mykonos and then another excursion on our return to Athens a week later. Cannot recommend Terry enough other than to say I have travelled for 40 years and would say he would be in the 'best' driver/guides I have ever met.I had an old photo taken in 1975 of myself sitting on a wall on a hill somewhere - when I showed it to Terry - he said he would work out where it was - on the day of the tour -he found it and took me there - I cried as it was such a wonderful memory of my first trip to Greece. He has a large well trained team who work to a high standard at CatTaxi but try to book Terry himself if possible.

Highly recommend! - I would highly recommend CATTaxi and Terry to anyone who travels to Athens. He goes above and beyond for his customers. He is insightful, knowledgable and caring. He knew more about what we would enjoy seeing and learning about Athens than we knew ourselves! Terry is extremely knowledgable about Athens. At each sight, he provides relative history and information and then drops you off after providing a meeting place to resume the tour once you are finished at that spot. Therefore, we felt attended to, but also that we could take our time observing and taking pictures. After a long day, we were starving and he arranged for our family to go to authentic and delicious Greek restaurant, and with his perfect English and Greek, he helped us order without any trouble. I give him the highest rating!
