• Thiva - Thíva, a city in Boeotia, Central Greece, holds significant importance in Greek mythology, being the setting for the tales of Cadmus, Oedipus, Dionysus, Heracles, and others. Archaeological digs in and around Thebes have uncovered a Mycenaean settlement and clay tablets inscribed with Linear B script, highlighting the site’s prominence during the Bronze Age.
• Delphi - Delphi was considered the center of the world in ancient times. Known in legend as Pytho, it was a sacred precinct that housed Pythia, the major oracle consulted for crucial decisions in the classical world. The Temple of Apollo, known as the Oracle of Delphi, is part of the Panhellenic Sanctuary and is centrally located relative to Greek settlements. The Omphalos of Delphi is an ancient marble monument discovered at the Delphi archaeological site. The Temple of Athena Pronaia was part of the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia, a complex of buildings including temples and treasuries, as well as the famous Tholos of Delphi. The Castalian Spring, located near the Oracle of Delphi, was believed in ancient times to have purifying waters that could cleanse the souls of visitors to the Temple of Apollo, situated just 500 meters away.
