The ancient Greek temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion, built between 444–440 BC, is one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens. This Doric temple overlooks the sea at the end of Cape Sounion, at an elevation of almost 60 meters (200 ft).

Wonderful sites and a great host - Alex was very informative and friendly throughout the tour, the sites and views along the way were wonderful and his knowledge and insights into the history behind things was great to learn about.

Highly recommend this small group tour to the Temple of Poisedon - Excellent! Great tour and knowledgeable guide. Definitely worth the money for a small group tour that picks you up and drops you off at your hotel. The Temple of Poisedon is amazing. Also included a stop at a nice beach side restaurant with fresh seafood (at your expense). The Temple of Poseidon is an ancient Greek temple on Cape Sounion, Greece, dedicated to the god Poseidon. There is evidence of the establishment of sanctuaries on the cape from as early as the 11th century BC. Sounion's most prominent temples, the Temple of Athena and the Temple of Poseidon.

Unforgettable day in Athens - Alex, our guide was amazing, he went above and beyond our expectations which were already high, he made a couple of stops for us to see some beautiful sights and explained the history behind, he made a stop just for the purpose of taking a picture of the Temple of Poseidon from a very unique location, after we left that location he offered to take us somewhere else and have up options and finally took us to Mount Lycanetus, the highest point of Athens, the view from the top is mesmerizing, on our way back to the hotel he recommended son restaurants, we had dinner at one of them and as expected it was very good, what’s more it was excellent… he was very professional and you can tell he is very knowledgeable and gives you the information needed. I would highly recommend this tour and specially Alex, we will definitely contact him when we need any tours again!!!

Great tour and amazing sunset - We had a great time with George Remoundos. He drove us around showed us areas took us for coffee and gelato. The Temple of Poseidon was amazing. Please note we got there right in time but they wouldn’t take credit cards at that time. We barely made the cutoff and enjoyed some amazing views. Afterwards we had some dinner at a recommendation from George and it was great. We started our tour at 5pm and it seems like the perfect time to go. For the price and what we got we really enjoyed this tour

A Fantastic Experience! - George was our tour guide for this private sunset tour and he was great! He shared highlights of our destination, Cape Sounio and the Posiden Temple and enroute we stopped at Lake Vouliagmeni. The ride was lovely and relaxing as we skirted along the coast. After our visit to Posiden’s Temple, George took us to a wonderful fresh fish restaurant where we indulged in a meal of fresh sea bream, calamari, bread and a Greek Salad. The view was breathtaking as we viewed the last part of sunset.

Overall we could not ask for a better guide! - Our tour guide was wonderful. He was very informative about giving us info about where we were going and answered our many questions about Greece. He’s very friendly and we felt comfortable with him.

A Perfect Day along the Coastline of Greece - We informed our driver, George Remoundos, what we would like to do for the day. George created the perfect itinerary based on our interests. The best coastal views outside of Athens, the best stops at a cafe and a restaurant. George even researched the best place to buy specialty items that I was looking for and took me to the perfect store. My family enjoyed every minute of our tour and George made all of this possible.

Temple Poseidon Tour - My daughter and I had a great experience. It was informative and relaxing. We flew in that morning and were able to decompress and relax on our way out to the Temple Poseidon.

Cape Sounio and Temple of Poseidon - We enjoyed our tour to the Temple of Poseidon and Cape Sounio with Alex. We saw some beautiful sights. It was a very windy day. He stopped and let us watch the wind surfers on the way back. He was very accommodating. We were picked up in the morning at our hotel, we did the tour of Cape Sounio, then he took us to our Cruise Ship. It made for a perfect start to our Vacation.

Poseidon's - Our Driver was very good and we enjoyed the ride down the coast to Poseidons Temple. He picked us up at our Hotel, took us on a tour then too us to our Cruise Ship.
