Kritsa - Kritsa is a village located 10 km from Agios Nikolaos in Lasithi, on the eastern side of Crete.
A charming small village nestled in the mountain foothills, Kritsa features narrow winding lanes and plenty of character. It is famous for the craftsmanship of local weavers and embroiderers, attracting many tourists who come to admire and purchase the beautiful lacework, tablecloths, and other textiles on display.
This picturesque village is built into a steep hillside, enhancing its charm and scenery, though it was not designed for modern vehicles. Nearby, you can find the ruins of the Dorian city of Lato, believed to have been established in the fifth and fourth centuries BC. The area also features the gorge of the same name and the Katharo plateau, which leads through the Dikti mountains to the Lasithi plateau.
- Malia - Our final stop is at the olive factory in Malia, where we will taste the renowned Cretan olive oil.
