As god of the sea, Poseidon was very important for ancient Greeks, and the scale of the Temple at Cape Sounion reflects that. Beautiful tour. Definitely worth it. - It was a beautiful tour. The temple of Poseidon is awesome and to see it during the sunset was just breathtaking. Our tour guide was super nice and had alot of interesting stories about this place. Definitely worth the trip.

Nice trip. Would do it again. - This tour was well worth it. Our guide was nice and we enjoyed the trip. Photo opportunities were plentiful. It would have been nice to have more time there to enjoy the sunset and then have dinner at the restaurant. There wasn’t time for both. Nice trip, but eat before or take a snack if you don’t want a late meal when you get back to Athens.

Lovely Cape Sounion - A beautiful spot for photos at sunset. The tour guide, Christina, was lovely but the staff based at the operator, Key Tours were rude. Be sure to double check your pick up time if you are being picked up from your hotel. We were NOT given the pick up time. The pickup person called our room at the hotel and then left without waiting for us to come down, stating we were late. We had to make our own way to Key Tours’ office, from where the tour left. The staff in the office argued with us about what had happened. Not a great way to start off the tour.

Great experience. The... - Great experience. The temple at sunset is beautiful and the views over the ocean are just amazing. Definitely worth the price. The guide did well to give us interesting historical information on the drive through which is only about 1.5hrs and most of it is very scenic.

Beautiful temple - The ride to the Cape Sounion was very pleasant. We enjoyed the view. The guide was very polite and shared lots of information on the way. We didn’t see a perfect sunset because it was a bit cloud but the temple of Poseidon was magnificent with the sunset lights.

Wonderful setting. Great sunset. Generally average tour service. - The Poseidon temple is a remarkable structure in a stunning setting, and watching a sunset there is a scenic wonder. It is worth the time and expense.
But you are seeing it with hundreds of other people.
This tour was in a big bus. It was comfortable enough, but still a bus filled with people. The tour guide had good information, but all in all, while the location is wonderful, there was nothing special about the actual tour experience. Pretty much like I expected any big bus tourist experience to be, fairly soulless. I had actually arranged a more private experience, but that guide canceled at the last minute and I had to pivot to this.
But, to be clear, seeing this temple at sunset is worth the journey!

Great views | Bad tour - The tour: the tour bus had no A/C. They didn't leave on time (23 minutes after I was told to be there. Limited information not delivered well. No actual tour at the temple. Just a 30 Euro bus ride. Seats were also too close and uncomfortable. Company is Key Tours
The temple: very pretty, worth all the fus. Getting my tickets there saved me some money and only took a few seconds. Since the tour isn't guided at the temple, 0 need to have them pre-purchased. I just sat and enjoyed the gorgeous sunset. Please be aware, once the sun has set, they shut it down fast. But your tour doesn't leave until after sunset so the timing works.

Very long drive in a... - Very long drive in a crowded bus. Too many stops to pickup other passengers-took 35 minutes. No water provided. Terrible guide with little knowledge of Sounian history. Very little time to see the Poseidon monument. Would never recommend it
