Stunning views at sunset - Absolutely stunning view of the temple at sunset, well worth the trip up and very convenient to go with the tour. Should have brought a coat though as very exposed at the top!

The sea, the sun, the wind... and the temple! - A very nice trip, romantic at will, with a first stopover at Lake Vouliagmeni and the good air of the sea that does great because Athens is very polluted. October may be a little late to do it because the sun is setting too far west of the temple but I can't take many beautiful pictures. To do in good weather, of course. Our guide, Georgio, is great! The journey takes 5h30.

Worth the reasonable price point - The sunset at Cape Sounion was incredible. It is just like the pictures. The ride was smooth in a coach type bus with comfy seats. The audio guide was okay. Provided with some information, but only on the way there so it was a fairly long drive back

If you have time left in Athens - The long bus trip to Temple of Poseidon gave us a picture of how the coast line from Piraeus looks like, interesting! The stop at the temple was very windy and actually I have seen much more beautiful sunsets. Awful long journey back due to the heavy traffic along the road, 2 hour’s almost!

Would Not Recommend - Arrived very late to the temple, we had about 30 minutes there. I wish we had more time and didn’t have to rush as much. I would have preferred to skip the two photo stops.

Company changes tour times at short notice due to start of winter time - I had booked a tour from Athens to Cape Sounio for Sunday, October 27. The tour was scheduled to start at 3 p.m., as stated in all documents the days before. Late in the night before the tour, the company probably realized that winter time was beginning. I was then sent another e-mail frantically saying that the tour starts an hour earlier. Since I could no longer retrieve my emails, I missed the tour (waiting at the meeting point). It was very disappointing, especially because I could no longer book alternatives at such short notice. A company should know a few days/weeks in advance when the winter time begins, even if the tour times change.
