Discover Zeginis Winery and the terroir of Marathon, through a walk in the vineyard, a tour in the cellar of wine-making and aging, and a wine tasting.
Zeginis Winery, a family-owned winery, produces wines of exceptional quality from the family vineyards of 20 hectares. The passion for the vine and the wine is transmitted from generation to generation.
A member of the family, the daughter, and enologist of the winery, will welcome you to the winery and together you will take the tour.
Firstly, you will go to the vineyards of the family, in Ramnous, a distance of 10 minutes by car, where you will have the opportunity to recount the vegetative cycle of the vine and familiarize yourself with the current stage of the cycle.
Then, getting back to the winery, you will learn the winemaking process in Zeginis Winery, and many other secrets of the wine!
Finally you will taste the wines of Zeginis Winery accompanied by local Greek dishes, like fresh salads, cheeses, and pitas!

Transport to the vineyards and back by your own car.

Zeginis Winery offers a unique culinary adventure and joyous wine moments in a hospitable and delightful setting! We take pride in sharing our enthusiasm for the vine and its produce via a stroll amongst the vineyards, a guided tour of our wine cellar, and a wine tasting experience. Your guide for this journey will be Chrysanthi, our resident enologist and the second-generation representative of our winery. She pursued her education in Chemistry in Greece and further honed her skills in Enology & Viticulture in Bordeaux, France. After gaining practical experience in some of France’s most renowned chateaux, she came back brimming with innovative ideas and know-how to enhance our family-run winery.

Without hesitation - Very warm welcome in a nice setting, explanations and very interesting visits. Followed by a tasting with beautiful discoveries about both the wines and the dishes we were offered. The person who welcomed us was able to sublimate this very good time because of his knowledge and kindness. I recommend ++++

Zeginis tasting - Super address with very nice wine tasting. Be sure to taste the rose wine! It's exceptionally good. Very friendly welcome and we have gained some historical knowledge.

Private tours in a family-run winery - This is a family-run winery where third generation now is active in the business. All the tours are private and you get a really good insight of the process from the vineyards to finished wines. They drive us by car to the wineyards, showed us the winery and at the end gave us a taste of their wines. Can absolute recommend this winery!

A great winery and great host! - Our experience at Zeginis was excellent. Chrysanthi was an amazing attentive host. We highly recommend a visit in case you are in the area. The wines are delicious, especially their large selection of White wine, all made from local grapes. Thank you for a lovely time!

Greece's Wine Revolution is Rooted in Family Wineries - The tour guide (Chrysanthi)'s knowledge of the grapes, matched with insight into the family's making of wine and the overall Greek traditions in regards to wine, made each moment insightful and memorable. Then came seeing the vineyards, which in of itself was as magical as any ancient artifact of Greece. The tasting was fantastic, with each white, rose, and red wine paired well with her own family's locally grown vegetables and fruits. If you are in Greece, make sure you visit this winery. An amazing experience, one that will assure the revolution of Greek wines becomes a global phenomenon built on family values and traditions.
