Absolutely amazing! - This was so much fun! We took our 20 month old son with us and he had a blast plus it was so kid friendly it didn’t require any extra stress on our part 🤪 Our tour guide was so great and funny, and we got to see and do so many bucket list items on one excursion. Highly recommend when visiting Skagway!

Musher outing - Enjoyed this very much. Well worth the time and money. Would recommend to others. Local provider had to change times which was actually better for us.

Amazing racers, cute puppies, and beautiful scenery, oh my! - Recently, we went on the “Sled dog Adventure and pan for gold tour” with some friends while in Skagway on a cruise. From the beginning Klondike tours was great to deal with and kept us posted on our upcoming adventure. If I had any questions I was able to contact Castle at their Skagway office. She answered all of my questions. As others have said the ride to this adventure was long but between the beautiful scenery and our guide Jennifer’s knowledge of the history and the geography of the area the ride didn’t seem too bad. Once at the kennel we were greeted by many puppies and older sled dogs. Although born racers these dogs love human attention. The kennels staff provided us with a talk about the race dogs and the equipment needed to race in races like the Iditarod. After that we were placed on a vehicle and pulled by several dogs around varying terrain. These dogs love to run. As part of this trip we also were able to pan for gold, unfortunately I should keep my day job. Because of the scenery, the staff, being able to meet Michelle Phillips an Iditarod racer and of course the dogs I would highly recommend this excursion.

Go see Nugget Barlow in Alaska! - We had the best time with Nugget Barlow. His tour is detailed and fun. He was the most entertaining tour guide we have ever had. Make sure you book with your cruise ship so you don’t get left behind. Alaska is beautiful and Nugget makes it interesting with stories and historical facts! Enjoy your tour!

Beautiful fall colors in the Yukon - Chris was an awesome guide. He was personable and entertaining. We were lucky to see a mama bear and her three cubs along the road. The mushing camp was fun and informative. Very cute puppies and a nice ride on the 4 wheel drive pulled by the dogs. The talk by the musher let us in on the tricks of running the race. Gold panning was ok.

good for families with teens/older kids or for someone who doesn’t like walking a long distance to see some views - the dogs were adorable and it was interesting to learn about the sport of sledding. the bus ride was comfortable and stopped along the way to look at beautiful sites and learn more about history/nature facts. the gold panning was at the dog camp so don’t get confused you’ll go somewhere outside to physically pan for it, it was still a fun experience!

Put this one on your to do list - The trek to arrive at the location of the sled dogs was a long ride, however, our tour guide Chris provided a lot of information and photo op stops along the way, which broke it up nicely. We were graced with a gorgeous day of weather. And….the dogs….omg. Beautiful animals! The sled dog ride was so cool. The dogs very eager to show us what they love to do. I would absolutely recommend this excursion.

Great adventure - Chris, our guide, was very informative and funny. He took great care of us. It was quite an adventure traveling on the rocky roads in an atv with the dogs pulling us along. The puppies were the best. And, I got some gold flakes when panning.

Outstanding Alaskan Excursion - This was by far the best Alaskan excursion we went on. The drive from town was breathtaking and the driver stopped numerous times for scenic pictures. Speaking of the driver, she was very funny & most enjoyable. The dog sledding was fun and a real adventure. Highly, highly recommend this tour group!

Horrible experience - This was by far the worst booking I have done through Viator. The advertisement was for dog sledding. Now, I can understand that there was no snow so of no fault to the vendor or viator. However, there was no dog sledding. The dogs were strapped to the fromnt of a jeep and we rode on the jeep for 10 minutes. There was no adventure. This was an expensive excursion which left a horrible taste for the alaskan adventure this day . The bus to pick us up from the city center was late. And the driver only had 6 month experience with false information about the city. I fact checked everything she said, and she just made things up. The end with a "gold mine adventure" was a bucket of sand in water looking for a gold nugget that was a speck thought to be gold. If i could rate this experience as negative, i would.
