• Dunk Island - Spend a full day exploring Dunk Island. Bring your hiking shoes and swimwear for a unique experience on this delightful island before heading back to Cairns or Palm Cove.
• Mission Beach - Enjoy a full day at Mission Beach, Australia. Start with a leisurely breakfast at a local café, then relax on the pristine beach. Explore the lush rainforest of Djiru National Park with a scenic hike or visit Mulligan Falls for stunning views. After lunch at a nearby eatery, consider snorkeling or diving in the Great Barrier Reef or take a ferry to Dunk Island. End your day by watching the sunset on the beach, followed by a casual dinner and drinks at a beachfront restaurant.
• Kennedy Walking Track - This popular coastal trail is a picturesque 4-kilometer (one-way) route that includes beach and forest walking, as well as island views. The track winds through diverse coastal rainforests to reach beaches and rocky headlands, offering great views of the Family Group of Islands and the chance to see cassowaries, wallabies, and other rainforest animals. Lookout points provide opportunities to spot turtles, dugongs, and dolphins in the ocean below. The Kennedy Walking Track takes you from South Mission to Kennedy Bay, passing the landing site of the 1848 explorer Edmund Beasley Court Kennedy. If time permits, walk the length of Kennedy Bay along the beach to finish at the Hull River. The communities of Hull and Tully Heads are on the other side. Return via the same pathway. This trail is suitable for a wide range of walkers, although the second half includes more stairs and some rock-hopping. A wide boardwalk leads to the first beach, known as Lover’s Beach.
